I notice Glock seems to own the do not want to own category.
I had a Glock for a short time, 2 months, but never again. Fortunately I sold it for slightly more than I paid for it.
What I find interesting is Glock Rules, is the King maybe even the Emperor of plastic pistol sales and ownership. Plus it has the most accessories available.
Yet, so many of you do not like it, wonder what the deciding factor is?
I wonder if those who do not care for the Glock have any other brand of plastic pistol?
Or, are those who do not care for the Glock revolver fans?
A Mauser Broomhandle. Had two of them given me as war relics and traded them very fast. Even though they are very classy looking, they are most uncomfortable to hold and very flimsy in the chamber area for modern high pressure ammo.
Also do not care for polymer pistols and black rifles.
Never any desire for bull-pup shotguns. Tried a couple of rifles, also. Now, ditto. There's just no way to clear malfs in an expeditious manner, LOL.
No 'big game' revolvers, like anything .454, 460 or .500 mag. Just zero fun to shoot, IMHO. However, I'm sure one could be the right tool for the right job.
I've only ever had the slightest desire to own a shotgun, and that just because I was offered one cheap. I do own a shotgun, but only because the previous owners left one in this house, some crazy 20 gauge snake charmer type thing.
High Standard Crusader revolvers. I had a chance to buy one in the original wooden box. But I couldn't justify the price for something that is most likely to end up as a safe queen. Too rare and out of production. Not to disparage the gun, but at my stage in life I don't need to buy anything that from the outset will be an unshootable safe queen.
Any kind of shotgun. Not into bird hunting, trap or skeet shooting and the idea of spraying my ammo at what I'm trying to hit just doesn't appeal to me.
Yes I would like a smooth bore revolver for pest control if I didn't have to pay $200 and register it as an AOW. I've loaded shotshell for a rifled barrel and I was not impressed
If we need to keep it a handgun, any sort of plastic/Tupperware gun.
Rifle wise, an AK.
Shotguns(and I LOVE my shotguns) a K80. I realize what they are, I realize how good they are, but to me they are butt ugly! Give me a nice Browning or Beretta, or even a nice 1100 or Auto 5 any day!
.50 cal Desert Eagle . Biggest " Gee whiz look what I got " pistol ever made . I was at an indoor range one day and some guy was there with his Dad shooting one . The concussion was annoying as hell . After about one magazine each they put it away . Dad looked at me and said " That's enough of that . " .
