The IRS called me yet again this morning...

I get the IRS calls and I figure they're really mad at me for over-withholding and getting a small refund.

Sadly, a really dumb and gullible little old lady here in Iowa recently followed instructions over the phone and went to Walmart several times and sent money. I don't recall why she finally stopped sending money....maybe she went broke.

NOMOROBO has worked for me to stop any/all these calls. I get 1 ring then it takes over and blocks em. Doesnt waste my time like my other remedies did. I used to try to set records of keeping them on the phone. Then I resorted to using a nautical air horn to blow their brains out. Now, I dont even bother with those...just use NOMOROBO

Started getting the IRS calls last month. Got two a day for a week. I finally called the number and said 'You have been calling the wrong number, please reach Me at --- --- ---- and We can talk. Never heard from them again. Wonder if they called the number and how they reacted when the person picking up said "Colorado Attorney Generals Office, how may I help You".

As my mother in law says, "If the caller ID says "unavailable", so am I.

I did mistakenly answer one of the IRS calls a few weeks ago. I told the guy that I had spent all my money on hookers and blow, and couldn't pay. Said I'd be out in the driveway enjoying a last cigar and scotch if they wanted to come and pick me up.

Haven't heard back yet.

I get the Debbie from Credit Card Services call a couple of times a week on my cell phone. Usually when I am on a ladder two stories up or on a roof. Just got the IRS call yesterday on the house phone.

There was a You Tube audio where the recipient pretended to be a homicide detective and stated that he was investigating the death of the homeowner that had been called. He also told the caller not to hang up as the call had already been traced and if he did, he would get a visit from the local PD. It may be a hoax but the call is too funny as the supposed detective continues to ask very personal questions about the caller and the deceased relationship. The caller squirms quite a bit and it is great pay back.

I'm sure a search of YouTube using Tom Mabe would find the skit. Too funny.

I got another call today. The poor guy can barely read English. Where do
they get these people? Are the calls coming from overseas? I was
reporting each callers number to the State Attorney General, but they
got to be so frequent i quit that. They probably wasn't doing anything
anyway.

The numbers are spoofed on your caller ID, so it doesn't do any good to report them.

These are boiler factory operations. Numbers are automatically dialed at random. If someone answers, they start their spiel. If not, the computer just dials another number. They don't know who you are, they're just dialing a number.

These folks are just working the scams that Americans don't want to.

Ask them if the prison has health care and tv. Become very interested in the conditions of the prison and act like it could be an improvement for you.

I started getting calls about a computer problem I was supposed to be having from a "Microsoft tech". At fist I hung up, then, I started giving the guy inane answers and asking off the wall questions. At the time I was the site super on a construction job and the project manager (money guy) I shared an office with was almost rolling on the floor as I did it on speaker phone. Guy obviously could not take a hint and called back again. Then he got an ear full and that was the end of it.

I have turned these calls into a form of entertainment.

I just got a call.They have a "new"tactic"!!If you call....they answer Agent so & so FBI
.I state in a scared voice.I was told to call this # I was told I owe money. Just a moment sir.....new voice answers...I say are you Pakistani or Indian??He says I'm Indian sir.I say you really have a scam going.I hope they bomb Pakistan & India....only good in India are the GURKAS!
All I heard was a click!!

credit card services called me many times cpl yrs ago. I filed complaints with FloridaDoNotCall..exactly 67 times

When they did not stop, I called FlDoNotCall and asked them what was happening with all my complaints. They told me they filed them. I said yes and then what. They said that all they do is file them; they do not take any action otherwise.

It was then I resorted to the nautical air horn (Walmarts $5)

Now I use NoMoRobo which does just fine...including election junk

I get 1 ring and then it takes over
