Never did get to thank you. I was SOOOO impressed with your 'pinto' I sent a 19-6 to S&W and had them refinish one 'pinto' style, less the pinned barrel. In fact I sent along a picture of yours so they would get EXACT. Thanks again.

Here is my contribution. I waited for years to find it and now it's mine!
It's as smooth as a babys butt, I think it has had an action job done to it.
I have the original wood grips but I love the Houge's.
The cylinder throats are all perfect at .3575", barrel is .357 and I cast and size Lyman 358156 GC's 158-162gn to .358.
The picture should answer all of the questions.

10mm, when you care enough to send the very best.

Model 19 from 1958

I picked this Model 19 no dash 4 screw up a year or so ago from Gunbroker. It is now my favorite.

It appears the 6" barrel length is very under-represented in this outstanding thread so I thought I needed to do something about it. Mine is a standard Patridge front sight but I must say Iggy's plain ramp front sight (post #88, page 9) on his 6" has me looking for one :D

Great thread,

Picture before cleaning.

1 old, I spent more time cleaning the lead fouling from around the forcing cone and cylinder face that I did polishing it. I spent about twenty minutes with mothers mag and then a coat of Renaissance wax. I think it was already in good shape, it just needed a little sprucing up. Yep I think it cleaned up very well.
BTW, all of the great advise and discussion has been so beneficial on this forum, most of it put to good use on this Model 66.
I continue to learn something everyday, I even know now what a gas ring is :D and where to look for it!
