Thinking about a new toy...What's next?

Ruger 10-22.
Having just gotten an ar10....it is a must have, but way north of 500
Browning BPS
How about a single action in 45 Colt or 44 mag
1911 in 45acp

Strictly for fun? Get this, it's the most fun you can have with your pants on! It's a blast to shoot and even more fun with a binary trigger, I have my trigger coming.

Springfield Armory AR pistol in 556, but the 300 BO is available now for home defense.

$500 budget? Can get a good pump shotgun for that. Get a dual barrel package or one with interchangable chokes and you could do everything from skeet shooting to destroying stuff with slugs to actual hunting. Plus they are primo home defense weapons.

Target and game load shotshells are fairly inexpensive. In my area, cheaper than 38 special range ammo per round.

Mossberg makes a 3 in 1 with 18.5" and 28" barrels and a cruiser pistol grip in addition to the standard stock. I like the idea of that kind of versatility, but I'd prefer 20 gauge instead of 12...at least in my mind the gun itself would be lighter for carrying around hunting (all that hunting I do:rolleyes:. I go quail hunting on a preserve maybe once a year). Would I notice that much of a difference in 3/4 of a pound, recoil, etc?
