Medicine takes as long as it takes, it simply doesn't fit in the same box as real industry.
Imagine insurance companies to stop treating hospital beds like tables in a busy restaurant

That is what I was thinking...
STATION SIX | B&T USA

Nevermind-I see that this has been discussed.
Remember....rich people get assassinated; po folks get killed
Seems to me that the term Assassination is appropriate mainly to planned and purposeful killings of prominent or powerful public figures, not necessarily rich. For example, Gandhi.

When I first read the comment that he used a Welrod I was unaware there is a modern (sort-of) version of it. I think that's what the commentator was no doubt referring to, not an original WWII Welrod which seems even more improbable than the modern version.

This guy paid cash, and had phony ID's, and had an escape planned through Central Park. Hard to believe he would use such a traceable weapon. I think that's a wild goose chase. I suppose it could be a stolen one but how many of those are around?

If there is any positive thing that could come out of this murder, perhaps a message will be sent to other health insurance companies that cheating and denying people the health care they are paying for might be re-evaluated. Historically, the only way for humans to stop evil is to kill it. The other way evil is stopped is by God's intervention.

Too bad there is not a Extreme Dislike Button for this post!!!!!!!!! Absolutely nothing positive comes out of a murder!

Bad

With that said above, I wonder how
long it takes for Copycats.

This definitely sets a really bad precedent
for any CEO or any other Corporate
Officer out there.

While murdering the CEO was wrong and I'd never agree with the shooters actions. There's always a lesson to be learned, even from tragedy.

UHCs policies have negatively affected how many people? How many lives were lost on this CEOs watch?

He made millions and millions knowing others suffered directly because of him picking greed over morals. He put the quarter in the juke box and now gets to dance to his song.

I certainly haven't lost any sleep over it.

No critique of the murderers equipment, skills or methods required. He was unfortunately...successful. A family has been shattered, a wife lost her husband, kids lost their father. All I have to say.

The comments on social media and news media websites are downright sickening…so much Schadenfreude!

There was a time in this country when it was considered cowardly and dishonorable to shoot an unarmed man in the back… :(

Yes this exactly…….. If I were so incensed at being wronged by an insurance that I had to act out on it, I'd want him to see me and know me. And I would get way more satisfaction from laying an old fashioned *** whipping on him. This makes me think it was not "personal" for the shooter. Maybe he's part of a movement of some kind. The truth will come out eventually

Folks get whacked all the time, yet this one has lots of people talking about it for days.

I think this killing, while tragic, with all the mockingbird media attention, is a distraction from all the other news worthy things going on.

BTW I'm guessing the shooter doesn't care if others think he's cowardly or dishonorable because he shot the guy in the back. If he's a hitman, front or back, dead is dead.

I would never condone murder and I do think that what happened was tragic and wrong.
But, OTOH, I hope the shooter gets away with it. Never to be found. It kinda sends a message to those who put money over lives. I hope it does make them nervous and has them looking over their shoulders for the rest of their days.
Actions have consequences. Bad actions have bad consequences. They need to learn this.
