There are some strange people going to Walmart. I am the only normal one.

Your county has over a million people, my county has less than 10,000 and I like it like that!
My entire STATE has considerably less than his county. The nearest walmart is 50 miles away, and that's to close for comfort.

Sounds really nice and peaceful... I'm guessing you're in Wyoming, Vermont or Alaska.
That's probably what they're thinking when they see you there
We got one here a few years ago. Only thing I buy there is seed bars for the birds as they have a good price on boxes of 12. I don't care much for any of the big box stores. They remind me of the Pete Seeger song from the 60's, Little Boxes: ..."they're all made of ticky-tacky and they all look just the same..." (Except they're BIG boxes, of course.)

Of course, no point in thinking that Walmart bosses would at least stop and question the people with goats, horses, rats, snakes and the like, lest they appear insensitive and maybe get criticized on social media and we all know that is the one thing to be avoided at all costs. 
The Chadron Neb. Walmart is the one we use for my insulin prescription as none of the local pharmacies will deal with the Medicare paperwork. About same distance as the Rapid City Walmart Superstore, but much less traffic on highway (almost none)and easier in the store, rural local people versus bigger city crowd, plus Neb. has no sales tax on food items. But that is not to say that Neb. doesn't have oddities with people.

Vermont. I know its not for everyone, but for me the peace and solitude is priceless. But I have to admit, I'm envious of those of you that enjoy a wide selection of shopping and restaurants.

Potential damage to carpets, furnishing, complaints of allergies, extra clean up from hair. etc. There are plenty of disadvantages from allowing animals inside.
Nearest Walmart from me it 110 miles. About the only reason I go in there when I am in the big city (50,000) is to exchange my Soda stream CO² bottles.
The Walmart we frequent is less than two miles away. A while back we conducted an experiment. She wore Crocs and her matching Cat Lady PJs and I sported Crocs w/no socks, Pokémon Go pajama pants, a Bearcats t-shirt, a Xavier ball cap and Jr's Spiderman sunglasses.
No one noticed. We fit right in with the rest of the salmon.
I'm not exactly sure what that says about us. Maybe Devo was right.

My late Grey had a lady friend in the local Lowes. Every time he went in he would look down each isle for her, when he saw her his tail would wag and look at me as, " ok there she is lets go see her". She was a dog person too.

Brother, I would have a hard time believing this were it not for: ...
about two weeks ago, I was in a nice retail store (not Wally world) and a lady walked by me with an adult/full size goat on a leash, had a jacket on, but not a support animal type more like actual clothing...she was wearing a 'I love Guns and Coffee shirt'...I think OC but wasn't paying too close attention and an old style eastern block olive drab cap.
The whole time, which was likely only less than a minute, I was totally shocked by this and she just stared at me intently. No words...she walked past

It is truly a strange world now...to clarify, this was around 9:00 AM on a Saturday and I was not hungover and of sober mind/sober body or the latin, sound mind in a sound body. Extremely strange...

If I had a pet fawn, I'd name it Chops!
I get therapy animals, kinda… Young animals and friendly dogs can lift patients spirits, but taking your goats to a market or your pig on an airplane is just ridiculous.
It adds new meaning to the phrase, "Clean up on the main isle!
Brings to mind a fellow I worked with. He was a bank teller before the onset of bullet-resistant shielding on the counter. Customer came in and placed her poodle on the counter in front of him. The animal promptly did its business. Manager came over; my friend said, you better fire me now because I'm not cleaning it up. He didn't and was fired. True story.

Holy Cow!!!! Never thought anyone would take a goat in a store! Used to raise goats, they are NASTY especially the billy's. Friend had a pigmy goat that was house broken, would ride in front seat of his pickup, front feet on dash rear on seat, went everywhere. He got lots of strange looks. He said goat would lie outside of bathroom when he was taking shower. He had all kinds of critters, he won few ribbons at fairs with his " punk rocker" looking chickens, LOL.
