The screws that hold the rear sight on my 310 night guard keep backing out. I have low strength-purple and medium strength-blue threadlocker. Which one should I use? Was thinking about trying the low first hoping it will hold and still be able to remove the screws in the future if I want to without too much trouble.

The purple is designed for smaller fasteners.6-32,8-32 and so on.I would try that first. The blue may give you a problem if you want to disassemble.Torque loads and all that. But that's all I know cause I ain't no engineer.Good luck.

Try the Purple first, many people don't know about Purple existing and being for the small threads. They end up using Blue or RED and problems down the road. The liquid is colored, the bottles are red.

Oops, I thought this was going to be about the big gorilla.

Thought the same things and was going to inform him it is pronounced "hand-e-jec-tor" not "thread-locker." :p

In regards to the OP, Purple threadlock would be where I'd start.

You could try come clear finger nail polish.

Always best to start slow and work your way up if needed. That way it's easier for the professional's to fix any screw up when the "bubba" fix does not work.

Not to divert the thread, but how does one remove the fastener after it's been thread locked? Is there something to put on it to dissolve the substance before cranking on the fastener with a cheater bar?

The best thread locker is yellow.

I know one kind you have to heat it up to remove the screw/bolt. I just used the low(purple) so I can get them out in the future if I want. I'll just see if it holds, if not I'll try the medium(blue)....
