To my friends here... "I regret to inform you..."

Being a Viet Nam Vet my heart is deeply saddened. My nephew ships next month and my daughter starts her training as an Explosive Device Specialist in February. God bless America.

As a very grateful first generation American, please know that me and my family consider your young man a hero of the first order. I pray for your family and send my most heartfelt condolences.

We extend our deepest sympathy and condolences. Always sad when we lose another Hero. God Bless and peace be in your hearts.

Oh Lord Hear My Plea.... Bless and Keep the family of this fallen soldier now in their time of grief. In time, may all they remember are the love and caring of this fine young man who gave his life unselfishly so that others may live at peace. Please make us all mindful of his sacrifice and may we all live honorably everyday in his memory. Amen.

Sorry to hear of your loss, my son did 2 tours in Iraq and that was a big worry. my prayers are with you both

I regret to inform you

It is with the utmost sorrow that I have learned of the loss of your son, Elijah, genuine American Hero. Every time one of our Brave Warriors is taken from us a piece of us goes with him/her. As Americans we all owe Elijah and your family a debt that we can never repay. I am in awe of rhe courageous young men and women who willingly place themselves in harm's on our behalf. No, I didn't know Elijah, and he didn't know me, but he offered to give his tommorow so that I could have my today. Priceless, deeply humbling. I pray that God will comfort you and hold Elijah in his loving arms until you are one day reunited in his Kingdom.

"Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends." John 15:13

We are so grateful for the amazing outpouring of truly heartfelt compassion and recognition for Elijah's heroism and his passing. We are truly overwhelmed at the wonderful, deep humanity here. Thank you, each and every one of you for taking the time and effort to write. We buried Elijah today and are now working to moving forward. From our entire family, please accept our most grateful appreciation for your kindness, thoughts, prayers, and comments.
