Well, it looks like I am the 2nd poller.
On my 40ve I new the trigger was heavy and that is to emulate a true double action pull-which it is, so I have just dry fired it several hundred times and fired probably 4 or 500 rounds through it and it has smoothed up quite a bit by doing this. This gun is fairly easy to fire at man sized targets out to a hundred yards making center hits easy. When I turn to my Beretta or 5906, hitting any smaller target is much easier, so I'm thinking the Sigma is a top notch bed-drawer gun for me, and is also a great training aide for accurate shooting.

I took mines back to the factory and had them do it. Came back, shot about 150 rounds in it and its a whole new gun. You can still tell that the trigger is heaver than the M&P but not by a whole lot.

Mine went to the factory, they "adjusted trigger" and it was a little better. The striker broke and I sent it to Texas with a complaint about the trigger. Much better. I then really spent some time polishing and modified the pigtail spring so it didn't do anything until the break and then just a touch. Probably more like nothing but it's still in there. The trigger is very smooth and pull is greatly reduced. Probably 7-8 lbs. judging by comparison to M&P, Glock and the original pull. 100% reliable, I did my wife's too, also 100% reliable. The pigtail spring, I bent one tang about 1/4 turn so it really doesn't effect the pull. I'm not sayin' do it, but I've had great results. Both are EDC and flawless.

I have no idea how many pounds my trigger pull is; but it is as smooth as butter! Has been good right from the start.
The entire gun seems to get better just by shooting it.
I plan to do that as often as I can. Current count = 1105 flawless rounds.

Mine was great right out of the box. So no work has been done to it.
Sear all polished up,,, grit is gone as well as the pigtail spring. Large outer sear spring replaced. Trigger is smooth, a bit lighter and a perfect reset point. Now to work on the sear to striker mating angles and surfaces... It is very clear how bad they are when looking at the wear marks. Cleaning this up should help with the brake.

Polished all sear contact surfaces, sear slot, stirrup contact surfaces, striker contact surfaces. Removed pigtail spring, replaced outer sear spring with a lighter spring. Much smoother, like the lighter (but still pretty heavy) trigger a lot more. Really enjoy shooting my 9VE.

sw40g.removed outer sear and pigtail spring.polished all of the action w/dremel.made a huge difference in trigger pull weight and took maybe 20 whole minutes to do.kept all original parts so they could go back in one day if the situation should arrive.

Did the sear polishing thing and " trimmed" the springs in the sear group. Put a Wolf guide rod and recoil spring it and didnt notice anything different from the old one.(stock spring rated) About 900-1000 rounds through it and no issues, still have the pigtail spring in it. Might take it out and see what happens.

Done alot of polishing and replaced outer spring with a softer one. Now there is a smooth but crisp pull.Pull is about 8lb but it is not gritty.

S&W (Frank Smith) Polish and he replaced the Striker Spring. Not sure why the striker spring was replaced.
I removed the pigtail spring and replaced the outer spring with a heavy duty, slightly lighter mechanical spring that I had in an assorted spring replacement kit. Somewhere around 6lbs. of pull now. Very comparable to my buddies Glock Service Model.

As this is one of my carry guns (my main one, in fact) the trigger is factory. Which is what our Sheriff's Dept. advises for CCW.
