I think I've mentioned this before

I worked here for 7 years. As you can see there was absolutely no shade.
One of my coworkers worked out here as the day shift supervisor I think he was two supervisors before me.
He specifically asked for a uniform deviation from a black ball cap to a black sun hat.

Similar to this. He was denied. I don't know his whole story I know that he was a cancer survivor and ended up dying of cancer. He also got skin cancer while he was working at that site.
The very last time I saw him he left work early because there was something wrong with his digestive tract and it turned out to be his bowels were blocked by the tumor that ended up killing him.
Right up to that night he blamed HSS not letting him wear a sun hat for his cancer.
They made me the supervisor a month or so after he died.

I
didn't ask
I went out and bought a light tan boonie hat and I wore it every time I went out in the sun.
I wish you could feel this hat. The only thing I ever did was it was weird in the Sun at work and it's almost worn out just from that.
That's the same site that I worked on where I wore the 511 Royal Robbins pants and they only lasted 6 months before the UV got them.
I won't say that HSS caused that guy's cancer by not letting him wear a hat but I bet you it was a contributing factor
