My 442 was my "duty gun" today (hopefully my last night on light duty) and my Model 10 is currently blocking my new-old Jordan holster that came in the mail today
I put my old 640-1 with DeSantis Clip Grip into my waistband and went out to run some errands. Just another routine day. I have a few S&W revolvers but the 640-1 is my usual companion these days...My 337ti comes along too on most outings.
Same thing I do every day; got dressed, brushed my teeth, then got my 4" 64 (NY-1) out of the safe, slid it into its holster on my hip, and went to work.
Kept my 642 in my pocket all day. Promised her a more exciting time when the weather warms a bit. She loves it when I expose her to those 158gr LSWC'S powered by 3.5gr BE.
I blew the cobwebs out of the Model 36. I use hollow based wadcutters with it and I can't believe how accurate a little gun with such a short barrel can be
Getting ready for a move, so I'm pulling guns out of the safe and inspecting, cleaning, and polishing as necessary. My 66 snubby and 6-inch 686+ got a silicone cloth rubdown before being returned to the safe. Tomorrow, they get packed up.
I went to the indoor range in Micanopy, Beckwith Gun and met my son there. We shot 100 rounds of my 38 reloads with the 65-3 frame and the Highway Patrolman 28-2 N frame. Rented a Sig P938 because my son wanted to see how they felt and shot 50 rounds through it. Shot another 20 rounds through my Shield 9 and both of us like it better than the Sig Sauer even though it cost close to half as much.
I took my two 386 Night Guards to the range to try out the trigger jobs I had done. Worked flawlessly with several types of ammo. But had lots of light strikes with Magtech 158gr 38spl ammo with both guns. Magtech must use some hard primers.
It fired just fine in my 686PC, and I want the Night Guards to work with the Magtech ammo because it can often be found pretty inexpensively.
So I dropped the Night Guards back at the gunsmith to have him put in 1lb heavier springs. Hope to have them back Friday.
Been carrying my 386PD all day.
Also called S&W and found out my 65 Ladysmith that I sent in for refinishing a couple of months back is finished! It is "waiting" to be shipped. As it was explained to me by the CS rep, it seems in the Performance Center shop they wait until a bunch of guns pile up before bringing them to be shipped. So if they only have a few guns waiting to be shipped they don't bring them to the shipping dept until a bunch accumulate. That's annoying, I probably would have had it back already had they shipped it when it was done.
I took my Md 34 with 2 inch barrel and my Md 39-2 to the range today. Both performed admirably. I haven't had the 34 all that long and it has been a pleasant surprise at how accurately I can shoot it. The 39-2 was its usual accurate self too.
