What Do You Prefer, Coffee or Tea?

Love the smell of coffee but never liked the taste. For me it's mostly ice water, summer and winter, even when working outside in cold temperatures.

I love the smell of coffee but can't get past the bitterness. I've been a tea drinker my entire life, I drink a couple of cups of brewed tea in the morning and we have decaffeinated iced tea at home. I'm a bit of a tea snob so it's Taylor's of Harrogate or Twinings or Stash teas only . Lipton for iced tea and Lipton hot tea only if there's absolutely no other choice.

I'm not a tea snob, and have enjoyed green/herbal/fruit teas from Bigelow, Lipton, whatever's on sale at the store, etc., but I will say that Stash is my favorite. I'm particularly fond of their green/white tea blend.

One very large cup of unleaded coffee (I vibrate like an old out-of-tune Harley on caffeine.) in the morning, strong with some kind of flavoring added. An enjoyable "digestive" aid.

The only decent tea I've ever had was in Hong Kong/Kowloon. Everything else has been quite weak in real flavor. I'll pass.

Imagine John Wayne or the Lone Ranger sipping tea around the campfire.

Sorry, but REAL MEN drink coffee.

Not drinking nearly as much coffee as when I was working. These days, I get my coffee from an on line outfit, Black Rifle Coffee Company. It's not cheap, but it is pretty good, and since I only drink a mug or two in the morning, it lasts long enough to kinda justify the expense.

The place I work at provides several types of Lipton Tea and several blends of Farmer Brothers coffee free. In the morning I'll have a really strong (3 bags) cup of Lipton and early into my shift at work I get a cup of "Arabica Rush" which is apparently the Red Bull of coffee.

Other than that I carry a 40oz Hydroflask full of ice water wherever I go and I don't drink anything else until it's empty.

So...Jim Corbett, J.A. Hunter, Kenneth Anderson, and Karamojo Bell weren't "real men"?

But I'm glad that a lad of your wee years even knows who John Wayne and the Lone Ranger were!

Glad to see another here who drinks Taylor's teas. BTW, I met a girl on the Net who lived in Harrogate. Said it's about 14 miles from York. (Northern England)

Have you tried their Yorkshire Gold blend? I usually drink region-specific teas, like Ceylon or Darjeeling. But I like some blends, like Yorkshire Gold or Twining's Irish Breakfast. I haven't tried the Taylor's Irish version. Their Ceylon is about identical to that from Twining's and is probably obtained from the same tea gardens around Dimbula, Ceylon/Sri Lanka.

Yorkshire Gold is always in the cupboard. And we like the Scottish Breakfast as well.
