What firearm stuff is on your list to buy in 2019?

I think this is my year to "finish" all the various project guns I have accumulated .

I keep saying that I need new sights on this one, new grips here, trigger job on that - but I never do it. I plan to march through the list and knock those out rather than buy anything else.

Plus I think it's time (possibly passed) for everyone to consider their ammo/component stockpiles as storm clouds seem to be on the horizon...

I have a few projects that need finishing up, too. That's my goal this year.

And anyone who hasn't stocked up by now really needs to get with it!

The only thing on my list is a decent shooter grade Savage 99 in 250-3000. Have all the other Savage developed cartridge models. Preferably one under $750. It's a dream.

I'm pretty much done buying or selling. I picked up one PC J frame last year but sold off three others I didn't shoot much - two S&Ws and a Ruger. Over the last several years I've sold off everything I didn't shoot or wasn't emotionally attached to. My collection is right where I want it now. If I ran across a PD325 or a 627 at a decent price I might bite but that's it.

List to buy in 2019

1. Reloading Componets; Primers, Bullets,
Cartridges, and Powder.
2. 22 Long Rifle Cartridges
3. The New S&W Model 69 41 Rem Mag
4. Mountain Guns

My first gun of the year is going to be a 325NG in 45 colt. Yes, 45 colt. Payment is on the way for the gun. I have a spare 44 mag cylinder I will ream to 45 colt, then fit to the NG. Will have to trim the barrel extension and redo the forcing cone. Already have one in 45 ACP, that I got another hammer for and dehorned. Carry gun. Will leave the hammer spur on the one I make into a colt. Easy way to ID which is which and might want to single action the colt.

This will be the year I buy my first semi-auto pistol. My budget has also changed, so I am leaning toward the SCCY CPX 2 as my next purchase. While the SCCY is in the budget category, the amount of info I've absorbed, and the many reviews I've read and watched, point to it being a good buy.

Aside from that, I'm going to try really hard and not buy any other guns for a while. I need to improve my skills with what I have, and I want to complete my goal of getting my concealed carry permit as well.

The other goals are to buy a holster for my 642 and for the SCCY (after it is purchased). I also want to slowly build up my supply of ammo.

I had a Smith .22 snub years ago that I never shot, sold and am still owed money on.

If I could find one, haha, my tax return could cover it, ( hint, hint, WTB ).

Right now I'm thinking a Ruger Vaquero. Not sure if 38/357 or 45LC. Think I'd go with 4.6" barrel. Leaning towards blue, maybe SS.

Not on any "list" necessarily, but I suspect I'll talk myself into a 2.75" model 66 sooner or later. I've been whining about wanting Smith to make a new production 3" K frame for long enough that I'll eventually have to put my money where my mouth is. It's not a return of the no-frills, fixed sight 3" 64 or 65, but it may have to do. And I suppose I'll have some other ideas after SHOT Show later this month. :D

I only have two maybe three, a model 58 and or a 4" 586/686. I will be happy with either one. Or well, maybe a nice 19/66 2.5". I would like any of them. LOL

Maybe after I get back from SHOT Show, there will be something I just gotta have... doubt it. I haven't seen anything that wets my undies in awhile. I have all the cans I need. I have more guns than I can shoot in two days at the range. I do need boolits and primers for 9mm and .223 for 2020. Other than that, I kinda need to thin the herd a wee bit.

Sadly (or not so sadly), this is going to be a "gear-year". Years ago, I had to make the decision that I needed to be responsible and buy a safe. The $$ was easily enough to get another gun, but I did the right thing and bought the safe.

This year is reloading. I'm going to focus any spending $$ I have on getting a proper reloading setup. I want to spend way more time with 38 spcl and 44 spcl, if I'm going to do that and not go broke, I need to reload.

Some reloading supplies for sure.

On my want list is a S&W Whisper and a nice Model 57.

Then there is always, as someone else mentioned, targets of opportunity.
