What guns make you think you want another of the same

I have two of a lot of guns but one time I was in a LGS and they had 2 prelock model 29s with a 6" barrel. I had never even seen one up until that point let alone 2! One was a 29-3 with target stocks and the other was a 29-6 with Hogues. I didn't know anything about 29s so I picked the dash 3 because it was basically new in box and looked the most like a Dirty Harry gun. I loved it until I got home and started reading about the 29-3 and how it's the ******* years of 29s. So I take it to the range and it counter rotates every other cylinder and has a bad kickback sensation in the trigger. I couldn't' believe it, this gun was nearly unfired. I really was wishing I had picked the dash 6.

So almost a year goes by and I'm back in the LGS and the same 29-6 is back in the case. I asked what the deal was and some guy put it on layaway, forgot about it and when he came in to put something else on layaway he found out about the 29 he didn't pick up. He gave them the 29 back and stuck the money he had down on the new gun. I snatched it right up, didn't even try to bargain. From my standpoint I couldn't be luckier, the gun that got away never even left the store. I'll never have to wonder about the 29 I didn't pick. :D

Bought my first Beretta about a month ago, a 92FS (black).
Really liked the way it shot, handled, so just bought a M9A3 to go along with it. Have yet to shoot it.

Hopefully I will marry my girlfriend, and I am going to let her have her pick from my collection to shoot, I will buy a duplicate of it.

For myself, I have a 649, I would like a blued humpback so it doesn't contrast so badly with a dark uniform.

Oh, I've had too many to list, but now I've got two Model 10's. One has a 4" barrel, the other a 5". Maybe not exactly the same gun, but close.

I've got a 4" Model 19-4, and a 4" Model 66-1. Again, pretty close.

I wouldn't mind having another Browning Hi-Power. A nicer one than the "finish challenged" one I've got.

Just have to have Pairs of Colt SAA Revolvers! That's why we have two hips! :)

Or maybe a brace of 1911s...... ;):D

(This photo always gets me in trouble with the libs)

Lot of guns out there. But sometimes you come to obtain a piece that gives you so much gun for your dollar that you want another.
My collecting focuses on nice shooting guns I want to keep. I have a son that is college aged, and we enjoy shooting together.

Duplicates in the collection are guns that he likes enough that he will have one for himself, and I keep one for my own. When he moves out, we will each keep one.

Duplicates we have currently:
CZ 75 (pre B)
Beretta 92 (FS for me, S for him)
CZ 27 in 32 acp (this little old antique has turned out to be a nice shooter, and very inexpensive. Soon I will have 3 in the collection, for under $600 total. He will take the nicest, as he already claimed that. The third is due to his mom liking it enough that we all agreed that having one for each was a good idea.

I have duplicate CZ 82's with her.

K frame 38's and I/J frame 32's just beg for companionship. I also have 98 Mausers actions sporterized in 280 Remington, 30-06, 35 Whelen and sold off a 243. That doesn't count the 95 7mm or the Mark 10 Mauser.

Actually it. might sound cheap. But I got a pair of S&W SD9ve models. Put apex triggers on them with tru glow sights and have them put up safely around the house just for home invasion purposes ..take those to the range all the time and with 18 rounds. You csn just beat on them all day long. Never misfire or any problem. As long as I don't shoot Winchester white box ammo. Those guns just don't like em. But all around under 400 with the upgrades a great gun to have around the house in a pinch.

CZ 85B and CZ75D PCR; they fit me (grip angle, width, depth)
Winchester 94 - 20" XTR and 24" Legacy; balanced, fast, flat shooting to 200+ yards, not an ounce of extra metal anywhere.

For me and the love for hunting a Savage 99 in .300 savage

Be careful!!! Some women take a liking to guns like shoes! Mine started with a little Ruger .380. Just wanted something small beside the bed. Then decided she liked a Model 36. Then took my 3" Model 65. I've created a monster. But one good thing I've got going is she never complains about me buying more. Always wants to see what I've brought home if I've been gun shopping

28, 29, 57, Baers

I love accurate bullseye long range shooters more than tactical or polymer stuff. Especially 28s, 29s, 57s and Baers tend to multiply in my safe. I have enough 28s but I can not say no to a unfired 57, and I need a second Baer 1.5 guarantee single safety like a UTC or SRP. Currently own only one TR 1.5 and love it, incredible. The Prem II in the pic got traded, a foolish thing to do...
Lastly, Bergara rifles, addictive...

Basically I only have about 3 guns; 1911s, K frames, Evil ones. EACH in assorted flavors.

Plus outliers, some of which are pretty wierd.

........another 4506-1.....makes me look like a better shooter than I actually am;)

I feel exactly the same way! My 4506 no dash has gained me many, many compliments whenever I have to qualify for my CC license. Things like, "Dang, look at how that old guy shot with a cement block in his hand!" Well, maybe I didn't hear anything about a cement block.
