They are five-shot alloy J-frame SWs.
I figure that I do not kill bad guys everyday, but I have to lug around the hardware.
BTW, as I've gotten older, all of my choices are down-sizing. Shorter knives, smaller motorcycles, and now smaller Smiths.
The idea of "ego" has been replaced with practicality.

9 sigma or glock 19 sometimes with a G17 mag. Working on getting an M&P too. Love M&P, Love Glock and yes i even love that ugly sigma

If I had to vote it would be 9MM.
If I carry a full size gun it might as well be a 45. For times when I carry something smaller I carry a 38 or 9MM.
My primary concern is the ability to put multiple accurate, effective hits on target quickly. I can do that with a full size 45 and a compact 9mm or j frame. I have no need for a 40, 357Sig for this reason. I occasionally a carry a k frame 357 but it's rare.
I REALLY like the 357Sig. But not in a compact. It's just too expensive to shoot.

38 special 90% of the time 9mm not as often now that I have a J frame. So have to vote 9mm on the poll

between those 4 choices for EDC it's 9mm bec I have a Kahr K9 Elite 03 for IWB and a Browning HP for OWB. I like the 9mm round for accuracy/reliability in those guns and quick follow-up shots. Both of those guns are available in .40 but I think they would be a handful.
I do have a couple of .380 acp - a pocket Kahr P380 and a CZ 83. Those are both fun to shoot and the P380 is very concealable and accurate too.
