What is your Favorite non-S&W Handgun

It is time for another photo safari into what is out there. Please tell us what your favorite non-S&W handgun is and maybe why and maybe a picture. Mine is my most recent acquisition, a later model Browning Hi-Power. Aster reading Stephen Camp's book and WWII veterans on both sides praise for the gun, I had to have one, and from the first round, I knew this was a good firearm. The factory mags are not cheap, but they are available, and we will see what Springfield comes out with on their Hi Power project.

Okay that's not fair!

I'm sure I have far too many "favorite" guns to list each one, but one that comes to mind is my Springfield Armory 1911 with 460 Rowland conversion - and a Wilson BT grip safety.
The 460 Rowland delivers an honest 1,000 fpe which puts it right up there and beyond any short-barrel .44 magnum. Recoil is surprisingly mild, and the gun can basically be fired just as fast - accurately, as any standard 1911. So the 460 conversion gives you 44 magnum power in a fast-to-reload automatic. We're talking 230 grain bullets at 1,408 fps / 1,013 fpe!

The Springfield Armory 1911 is a beautiful rendering of the design!

Bone stock 1911A1. This one is not mine. Clones are as close as I have come to date, but one day I will have authentic USGI 1911A1.

I'd say my favorite non S&W pistol in my collection is my 1980 Sig Sauer P6. The West German police history makes it interesting, and because it's a fundamentally a Sig P225 I've been able to upgrade it with an SRT, night sights, and a nice set of wood grips. The only thing it doesn't do is feed hollow points.

I have lots of non-s&w favorite handgun but i'd mention one which is Glock 45

This old warhorse. Mine since 1961. Now well over a century old, it is retired from every day carry, it served me well for a long time. A Combat Commander, about half it's age keeps me company now.

Colt 1911 GM Nickel, born 1976, NIB, given to me for my 65th birthday by my son, who was also born in 1976. It doesn't get much better than that.

I wouldn't claim these to be my favorite non-S&W's (I like all my firearms or I wouldn't keep them:)) but they are the two that are carried and shot the most.
