Lets say, you walk into your local gun store. The owner pulls a box holding your personal "Grail gun". What is it, How much would you pay, and why?
If you already have it, please post some pictures.
Mine is a 2 1/2" S&W model 66. I'd easily pay $450-$500 for a pristine one. I have almost always thought it to be one of the most beautiful revolvers made.![]()
For me it would be General Patton's 3.5" Registered Magnum.
But since that ain't happening I'll say any one of the three in this post http://smith-wessonforum.com/s-w-hand-ejectors-1896-1961/351867-3-5-pre-27-class-pinto-bling.html
Or anything in Doc44's collection
But for now, I'd say that my 4" RM #274 is my grail gun
followed very closely by this one
Well as close to a real war vet 1911 is one of the closest WW2 1911 clones that's offered today it's the Auto-Ordnance Army WW2 1911a1. She's been flawless since '04 and cost only $389.
Here's mine. Some old guy had it built fifty or sixty years ago and for some reason I kind of fancy it. It's up for auction in Fairfield, Maine next month so I'm going to go see if I can land it for $1000 or so.
