I write my Senators and Congressman and ask them what their position is on semi-automatic rifles such as the AR-15 and what is their position on magazine capacity. I am also starting to ask their position on takling an Oath and what the oath menas to them. We need to know if they intend to defend the Constitution and the Second amendment and also ask for their interpertation of "Not to be Infringed" when it comes to the second amendment.
I also let them know that I believe the second amendment was not ment for government to regulate the peoples firearms but just the opposite. the Second Amendment is ment to prevent government from infringing on the peoples right to keep and bear arms and I vote according to if they honor the Oath of Office.
Next, I think we should write letters to the editor expressing our burning desire to preserve the Constitution and what "Not to be Infringed" means to us. We all need to get active in this fight and avoid getting to the point where the Government thinks they can "come and get em." because that is not going to work well for them and we do not want to see that happen.

One thing I always do: I call it Article Two of The Bill Of Rights.

If you do that, it is much harder to make an argument against it.:D

In some locations/states there is not much you can do. The deck is stacked against you and your politicians don't care what you think, if you are pro gun. They just think you are a crazy gun nut. What's more in many states there are not enough pro gun folks to make a difference in elections, even if the elections were honest. Leftist anti-gun people are going to be elected and be in the majority no matter what you do, or how you vote.

Because we are a Republic...not a democracy. It does not matter if we are a majority or not. In those States where a politicion does not seem to think he needs to honor his Oath to protect and defend the constitution...we need to press for accountibility....take them to court for breaking a sacred promise to "We the People" to defend the constitution and that includes Article two of the Bill of Rights. They have not only a responsibility but a duty to defer to the Constitution regardless of their personal beliefs. They are simply breaking the Oath that they took and we need to hold them responsible. I have written the President of the NRA in regard to doing just that and see what I get back for an answer. Certain Politicions would like to make criminals out of law abiding people....we need to hold them responsible for their duty to up hold the Oath they took to Defend the Constitution and see if there are still any honest Judges left in the Court System.

I live in the Peoples Republic of Massachusetts. I'm retired and stay here because my kids and grandkids in still in the area. Scott Brown got beat in November, which was our last best chance to catch a break. We are at the mercy of a Democratic Party which 'owns' the state...The only thing that saves some of us is, that whether you get a LTC is up to you local Police Chief. I happen to luck out in live in a town with a Chief that believes the best person to defend yourself or your home is "YOU"...If your ever thinking of moving to Mass, seek professional help beforehand.
