What should I be afraid of now?

Fear-mongers. Be afraid of fear-mongers. They often have unhealthy reasons for wanting you afraid.

Never let facts get in the way of a good conspiracy theory, and if in doubt blame everything on the government.

Sure, there are people who want to hurt us. We're about due for some terrorist activity. There's no way to prevent it completely.

But I pretty much live by some words of a wise man who hailed from the town of Assisi. He and some associates were working in a garden when a deranged man ran by, screaming that the end of the world was imminent. The wise man's friends asked him, "What shall we do?"

"We'll keep working in the garden," he answered.

I had no idea Chance Gardner was from Assisi.

Ok folks. I'm just not convinced there is anything of which I should be afraid.

But if you can get cable TV to bring back several hours a week of reality programming about EMP's or whatever, then maybe I'll get back on the bandwagon.
