What's for dinner?

For dinner last night I pan seared a couple of prime grade sirloin steaks picked up at my local Kroger Smiths grocery store. I cleaned out the butcher case.

I seared the steaks and butter basted while they came up to medium rare. Made a Diana pan sauce and added some Au Gratin Yellow squash, a small salad and a strawberry with a balsamic reduction.

Left over Chinese from our celebration lunch today, with green tea.

Roasted Cornish Hen with mushroom cream sauce. Sometimes you are so hungry you forget to do the little things. Like put the sauce on plate first, so the crispy skin stays crispy. Still pretty good.
