What's on your automotive "bucket list?"

I'm lucky in that I have owned a lot of cars, many of them now desirable collector fodder.

Tough to choose, but I think a '67 Chevelle with a 4-6 speed on the floor and around 500+ horsepower would make my day if not my decade.
Thinking yellow with a black interior, but a "rat rod" look with a clean body and primer would work as well. Gotta have the stock buckets and interior, or something really close. Also prefer the original dash to digital stuff. :)

Anybody in my area that has something close to this, and want to sell, PM me. I might get weak.

For classics I always wanted a 1970 Plymouth Superbird.
For exotics either a Lamborghini Gallardo or Bugatti Veyron.
For trucks a new F450 crew cab, long bed, dually, diesel, 4x4.
For now my 2011 F150 crew cab 4x4 will have to do. :-)

I would love to have a '40 Ford Coupe, either Deluxe or Standard. I would happily settle for a '39 Ford Coupe.

Last Saturday I saw a '40 Standard Coupe in a nice metalic red rolling down the road. Probably a small block Chevy in it with new underpinnings and no doubt AC. Sweet!!!

I really like the '39 and '40.

Beautifully restored '66 Mustang, V8 manual, medium metallic blue. I would then give it to my brother, who still grieves for the one that was totaled in '67 when a woman came around a curve on the wrong side and hit him head on. He couldn't drive it much--he's younger than I but very ill--but it would delight him no end.

For me? Restored 4-door '51 Ford flat head V8, three on the tree. I'm easy.

Nice post. You're a good brother. :)

AAAAAnd......Flat heads forever.

But I have to ask, Why a four door?

I really want to get this truck restored. I have had it since 1994 and while she has broken down on the road, she has never left me in the middle of nowhere. Even after sitting for months, she fires right up.

With you there Bro... I have an 1987 4x4 Stepside I bought new, the last year GM made them with the traditional wood bed, before going to the "next generation" 1988 models, with no soul. I put 230K miles on the first motor, was still going strong when an intake manifold gasket leaked coolant into the lower end and washed out the main bearings while on the freeway. Put in another 5.7 V8 crate motor from GM... have 113K mile on it.

Was involved in a slight "mishap" at the end of last year, damage doesn't look too bad at first blush, but under the covers is a whole bunch of nasty, with a "treaked" frame rail.

I've done a lot of resto's and that would cost more than it's worth. I hope you're kidding.

The car on the left is my bucket list car that I've been able to fulfill. A 1999 Corvette with the LS1 V8, automatic, both tops, and 62000 miles on the odometer. Makes me grin every time I drive it. The car on the right I've yet to get. A 1965 Buick Riviera, the last of the first generation cars, and to me, the best looking. Came home in one of these as a newborn in 1970; Dad had bought one new in '65. I LOVE the Bill Mitchell styling, and the nailhead V8's make plenty of power and torque. Got to find one of these one day.

Back in about '90. I got one in the shop that took it on the left front way worse than yours. I took a new cab and most of the front sheet metal,Frame pull and most of the suspension.

It was a Choo Choo Custom with graphic paint and more wiring problems than I could count.

I got every thing working. The owner said, "Wow, None of that worked before". I wanted to choke the little jerk.

If I should outlive my two pickup trucks, I would not mind having a four wheel drive jeep. However, I don't want one bad enough to buy one while my current vehicles are still taking me everywhere I want to go.

do they make one of the lambert thingeys with four wheel drive and if so how hard would it be to put a 4 inch lift kit in one so you could get some decent sized tires on it?

My automotive bucket list is pretty short, I really want to build a traditional styled Model A coupe on '32 rails with a big block Mopar and a manual transmission. Black of course, with an Oxblood interior.

Something like this...
