What's your most recent firearm purchase, and why did you buy it?

I bought a 686 plus 3" 357 in magnum because for the first time I

actually held the 2.75 " & the 3" both in 357 magnum & realized

that all these years I got hung up on Rugers & never tried a Smith & Wesson. Last reason was the DA trigger was astonishing.

I bought the 686+ in 2.75" a year ago in Stainless, and it has become my Most often carried, most often shot at the range, most often on my lap being cleaned and buffed when relaxing watching tv. I, like you had a few Rutgers in 9MM and .45's, but once I started picking up S&W's I can't stop bringing them home. In fact today, a new S&W M&P 2.0 9 Compact followed me home. LOL

I bought a Walther P22 and will be bringing it home on Dec 23rd as I have to wait 10 Days (California). However, I have also bought a Dreyse Needle gun Rifle and just have to go pick it up as it is an antique and no waiting period on it.

I just won an auction for this Ruger 97DC
Basically just like my 9mm 95DC except this one is 45ACP.
Figured I couldn't go too far wrong for a couple of hundred bucks.

i have not heard of anyone going wrong with a ruger. they are wysiwyg guns in my experience. "whatyouseeiswhatyouget." i am sure it will be great! :)

Husqvarna 1887 (Nagant)

I really, honestly, just wanted a gun made by the same folks that made my lawn tractor. It amused me. :)

Luckily, with some gently-loaded rounds from Reed's Ammo, this 7.5x22mm Swedish revolver now shoots again, at about 127 years old from its serial number. Shoots high, but I think I can train myself.

nice find friend!! i assume you already know that the husqvarna logo on your lawn mower, is not a crown on a head, as many people think it is. it is a rifle muzzle, with the front blade and the rear sight on top. :-)

I have a Mod 59 that is one of my favorites, but starting to show its age. It has been my go to plinker and fun range gun. but I’ve been needing to replace more parts on it.

So I got it fixed up nicely and put it away for a bit and picked up a barely used 92FS.

So now, my 75B is my working/field gun, the Hi Power goes to the range with family, and the Beretta has nicely filled the shoes of my 59, for now.

Well, I’ve got 9’s covered now, looking for a 4506...

Nice Browning. Whose low profile wood grips are those on it? Thanks.

I picked up a PSA AR-15 upper with bolt carrier group for $249. It has a stainless 1/7 barrel and Magpul furniture. The price was great and I have another one just like it that I paid more for pictured below

M&P 40 because I gave my buddy my SD40VE and needed another .40 and a Taurus PT111 G2 on impulse while getting the M&P

I knew that, but only coz it looked so much like the business end of my old Lee-Enfield that I looked it up. :)

Thanks, though! :)

Taurus 617TT (Total Titanium). 7 shot medium frame 357 magnum snub nose revolver that tips the scale at just a whisker under 20 ounces. Box, factory stuff including paperwork. Barely a turn line, probably hasn't had a full box of shells through it.

I haven't brought it home yet so the photo below is from a GB auction for one with a just slightly worse finish than the one I just put on layaway.

The GB auction closed at $565 + shipping.
I got mine in slightly better condition for $335 + tax = $369 OTD.

Do I need to explain any further?
Bring on the Taurus hate.

Ordered one of the no frills Ruger EC9S. Figured for $225.98 and a free transfer at my LGS I had to buy...... I'm really testing my wife's patience in the gun buying department. 5 Guns within 2 months though one was from a trade and the other is a family heirloom but this is a new personal record.

Been about half way looking for a 1911 in 9mm, got more 45 1911s than I need. Found a nice RIA for under $400 with case, manuals, holster, 3 mags and ammo. Pick it up tomorrow.

A teeny, tiny Kahr 380, because, well, it was teeny-tiny.

I really like the look and balance of those little Kahrs.

But I've heard some people have a lot of trouble with Jams.

On the other hand, some people have good luck with them out-of-the-box.

Let us know how you like it when you get it to the range.

The "off brand" gun I'd like to find is a Charter Pitbull in 45 ACP.

Good SD ammo in 45 ACP is much easier to find and less money than good 44 Special.

Bulldogs in 44 Special are on the California approved list and are easy to come by.

But Charter didn't bother with getting the Pitbulls approved so I'd have to find a used one from someone who moved here from out of state.

I like 45 ACP as a revolver cartridge.

But just days before that, I bought as a gift for my son, a 1944 Mosin Nagant carbine.

Got it because of

A. It's history
B. My son really wanted it
C. We got it for under market
D. Got a great deal with it on surplus ammo too.

Picked this up today as an early Christmas present for myself. I watch GunBroker for local Phoenix stuff so I can avoid paying shipping. I had to pay sales tax so my total out the door was $197.65. The bore is mirror brilliant and everything seems to work as designed. Came with one MecGar 17-rounder. It also had awful looking rubber Pachmayr wrap-arounds, and I had these brand new Uncle Mike's sitting in the drawer. That's actually why I bid on the gun, I was tired of looking at those grips.
