What's your most recent firearm purchase, and why did you buy it?

Actually, I have several 44 Specials.
But it was time for another Mouse Gun!
Maybe because I traded for that Beretta 70s.
Probably because the first handgun I ever shot was a flip-up barrel Beretta.

Three of these were purchased in December. The top is my new 3" SP-101 .327 Federal. Next down is my EDC 2.5" SP-101 .357 Mag (the only gun I had before last month). Below that is my NIB 60-9. On the bottom is my recently acquired 640-1.

I found some S&W logo Hogue boot grips on ebay. I have no idea what they came on originally but they look good on my 640-1

edit- I just now realized all these have fixed sights :D And also I seem to always want 2 of every variation

Just looked at what people are buying. Lot of great Model 41's, and shields. Not many types of .44 special, in any model. Do you think .44 special is not really wanted. I see people buying some very expensive guns, so it must not be the cost of .44 guns or ammo. What do some of you think?
FWIW I think it is mostly because there AREN'T many types of 44 specials being made. The people (like me) who have a couple aren't letting them go - so there aren't many being bought because there aren't many available to be bought.

A Star BM. My nephew got one... and so...

Just a nice size and weight for a 9mm pistol. Shoots good and it's not plastic.

Got a Christmas gun and a Birthday gun!

Got a new pair of 3rd gens: a 1006 for Christmas and a CS40 for my birthday six days later. I used to always get shortchanged on presents as a kid; the aunts and uncles would always put the holidays together and give me one present. It traumatized me so much that I’ve had to make up for it each holiday season with my own “spend therapy”:D

I posted this when I bought it last month but should have put it in this thread. I had one and sold it here. Now 2 yrs later this one popped up. Price was right and it was an in state FTF purchase. I believe I'll keep this one. Now if I could just find it's blue counter part in the same condition for the same $$ I'll be set!

Bought my first M&P today. A 2.0 9mm, 5" FDE, I'm usually not big on the FDE and other colored frames but this one looked good and it was a 5" barrel. Local shop had them on sale for $419 with only 20 to sell at that price, so I figured I better grab one before they're gone. The medium large insert seems to fit me perfect, can't wait for some decent weather to shoot this thing. This was purely an impulse buy because I saw it in a sales flyer and it looked good.

An NAA Talo Bug Out Box in 22lr for my wife, along with a Black/orange pancake holster. She will carry it on her hip, loaded with ratshot, in case she encounters Mr. No-Shoulders at our new place in the Texas Hill Country!

Still the Ruger American compact in 22 magnum. Lightweight and like the 18 inch barrel for a change for woods varmint hunting. Not bad for $270

......all I got is just "WOW";)

Found a Mdl 4563 at a gunshow last weekend. Probably around 90%, no box, papers, etc., came with only one magazine. Minor holster wear and the grips were a bit banged up. $525 OTD.

It wasn't a purchase, but a trade. I recently picked up a Ruger Single Six .22/.22 mag. It was the first year of production for the New Model Single Six (1973), and has the 4 5/8 inch barrel. Really wanted a double action .22. Offered it online for trade for a Ruger or S&W DA .22. Received a 1954 K22 in an even up trade. Really was not expecting someone to step up and trade a K22/Model 17, but a guy can dream. Sweet! The guy I traded with said he has a Single Six that he has had since the 50's. He plans on giving one to each of his three sons.

Just got a Ruger American .22lr target rifle and a S&W Victory .22lr.

I'm spending waaaaay too much $$$ in ammo. I'm going to practice more with .22 to work on the basics.

Last Saturday I picked up a Colt Official Police, 5" barrel made in 1950, 90%. Some holster wear, not beat up or any rust. Barrel looks like a mirror. But looks like it's been shot very, very little. Also at the same time I got a Colt Police Positive, 4" made in 1977. 99%, looks like it's never been fired.

I was going to get the Official Police to shoot. But wife was with me & told me to get both! Guy at the counter told me "don't look a gift horse in the mouth!" I told him to give me the paperwork before she changed her mind! I think I'm going to keep her. I took her out for a nice dinner.
