What's your most recent firearm purchase, and why did you buy it?

Another CZ 75B. This one in a matte stainless finish. I have a 75B Cold War Commerative with all the silly Red Stars and Hammer and Sickle emblems and the Cyrillic stampings that I love and want to keep as pristine as possible. The stainless finish should resist a lot of wear and still look good for years to come. This would be the CZ I'd send off to Cajun Gunworks for a performance upgrade and make it a really awesome range toy. Right now my love and loyalty to the S&W name seems limited to revolvers (with a 617, 686, 640, and a 629) and not really towards any of their semi autos... at least not yet.

Glock 22. I've been buying ex-service pistols in 40 S&W because they are being dumped by agencies at
very good prices. The last few have been SIG P229's. I did the same with the S&W model 66's when they
were dumped and the wonder 9's took over.

I don't think the Glock will ever be worth much but a Gen 3 with the copper anti-sieze still in the slide for
307.00 is a good deal. (FWIW, it looks like it's never been shot, or carried)

The SIG's will probably go to the mid 5's once the glut clears. 300.00 ea was a good deal.

I'm a big fan of the 41 mag, and Sportsman's was selling a Ruger 4" Redhawk for $699 on year end clearance. I rushed over and bought it. The next day I was inspecting it more closely and when I dropped a round into the cylinder, it seemed loose. Just for the heck of it I tried a 44 mag. It dropped right in. I couldn't believe it. I marched right back to the store and told them what was up. After checking for themselves they wanted to send it back and see what Ruger said. I was afraid that the response would be something like "it's within specs" so I said "no dice, just give me back my money. There's no way that a 41 should chamber a 44." They were not happy but they called corporate, and gave me a refund. I'm out the NICS but I think I dodged a bullet. Pun intended.

1991 5906 and Israeli surplus FN HiPower MKII. A little buyers remorse but I'll explain that later in the review

Just picked up a 4516-1. Very nice condition police trade-in and a great price at $420 OTD.

Going to a local firearm auction tomorrow, so hopefully will be posting again :D

I came to update my post which is some where above this one. Late last year I bought a 2.0 9mm Compact because I loved my 5" 2.0 a lot. While the Compacts trigger was slightly better than the 5", I just couldn't hit sh*t with it like I wanted. I paid $419 for it and sold it for $400 with less than 100 rounds through it. I just got the rebate in for it so the 50 round of critical defense and 2 mags I can sell helped me do better than breaking even. The Compact could not replace my 3913 as my EDC.

1942 Enfield No. 2 Mk I* DA-only revolver. Chambered in 38 S&W.

It looked so lonely on the shelf, and is a fitting companion for the Sauer 38H, being within a couple of years of the same build date.
I'm not SURE the whole gun is 1942, but that's what is on the sideplate. Serial no. on the rest of it may predate that.. Parts bin gun, probably, but as long as it shoots....

Would have like it even better if it had escaped the dreadful *

My 1934 did.

This morning I bought a Turnbull 1911. If I have to tell you why, I simply fell in love with the fit and finish
I am sorry, I cannot figure out why my picture is upside down

I think it's because of the position of your phone/tablet when you took the picture, next time try with the click button to the right.

sold my P30sk because it was never going to replace my 3913NL as my 9mm ccw......and bought another .45c.....why?....because it fits my criteria of I shoot it particularly well and it was a killer deal;).....and the only modification it needs is a Talon grip..........................................................

I really enjoy my newest addition to the family.
I gave myself a Christmas present and I absolutely love it.

Picked up one of the new Sig P210 american target models last week. Wow, what a trigger! The lack of any slop in the slide and barrel is also impressive. Now I have to wait for the glaciers to retreat on the range before it get's its cherry popped.
