Dang it. I'm awake, why isn't everyone else?
Awake for 20 hours now and no sleep in sight.
I recently found that the steroids the docs prescribed for my arthritis prevent sleep. They didn't tell me that and I didn't read the info paper on them.
:eek::eek::eek:

I'm with you now, waiting on coffee to brew. Good morning!

Normally I'm up at 02:00 to be at work by 04:00 but I've been off and awake for a few weeks.
Hopefully I can get back to work this week.

Here comes the west coast! And yes that coffee machine is slow and I forgot to set it to brew last night!

Yah, I'm up. Those two new Golden Retriever pups needed to go outside, where it is currently -12. Got the coffee cup in my hand. Don't know whether the drink it, or just pour it over my head.....

Side effects.....

Side effects can run from annoying to terrible and beyond.
You gotta have sleep, or you will start to suffer some serious effects from that. I can't take steroids, they blow me up like a water balloon and make my blood sugar go wild.

I hope you don't have to add sleeping meds to counter the side effect, but if ya gotta, ya gotta.

Rw, no sleepers for me. I'll finish up the steroids about 5 days before I go back to work, so I should be able to get back on schedule.
Yeah, I was worried the blood sugar but so far it's ok for me.

Initially I thought this was an existentialist question about the progress of man in the universe. After opening the thread I noticed it was just a quest for caffeine. Perhaps two sides of the same query.........I recommed a french press.

From family experience, take the steroids in the morning ONLY. That way they are not cranking up your system after 6pm.
