I was just in a barbeque place where I ordered the ribs and brisket.

The waiter asks me; "beef or pork ribs?"

"Are you kidding? The pork ribs of course!"

So which are better; beef or pork ribs? Given the option, I say pork ribs.

Not a rib fan. Too much work for too little meat. But for barbecue, pork is just better. I've had pork, beef, chicken and turkey. Pork's better all the way around. I think it's the fat in the meat. Makes it greasier/juicier.

Sorry you only had those two choices.

Once in Houston when the old Houston Superdome was still standing I was in a BBQ place just outside and the advertised:

B-B-B.....BEEF.....PORK.......FOUL.....

I guess they meant chicken (FOWL) but they were very close to the dome and maybe they really meant a foul ball came their way occastionally....although I do not know how it would escape the dome.

Being born and raised in cattle country, beef is the only way to go. Rocky Mountain men have always frowned upon pork eaters. I have to admit, however, I do have an affinity for hot links done Texas style.

I have seen this mistake a couple of times in Latin America, then there was the seafood place that listed "Craps" meaning crabs.

Both and give me spare ribs over the babies if pork.

Beef, of course. It goes with the brisket. When was the last time you saw a pork brisket, ;)

It's 0508 hrs and I am looking at the picture above:eek: and wondering if anything is open at this time where I can get an order.

I guess I could head to NYC and make a purchase.

Spare ribs...

Beef ribs have good flavor, but too little meat
Baby Back ribs have too little meat and less flavor than spare ribs but are the most tender
Spare ribs have best flavor, most meat and if you cook them right, an acceptable level of tenderness
