I am in the process of trying to decide which laser would be the best buy for my SIGMA 40. In looking at the different ones, I can't tell if any of them require a rail adapter or not. This gun is not ever used for CC. It has a home on the nightstand. If any of you have purchased any of these, please let me know what you think of the quality. I did notice that there is a considerable amount of difference in price on several of them.

I'm sure you'll get a lot of opinions on this subject. 'Best' really is a relative term. I needed something affordable but still functional. This one is by one of our forum members TDR911.
No adapter required. I didn't get the magnetic holster, just the laser. Works great and a good price.

Suggest you consider the new Crimson Trace for Sigma.
Shooters Resource.com has them for around 160. The laser holds its position after you dial it in, which has been my problem with all other types of lasers. 2 clips at the range and the laser walks off to the left due to the discharge. After near 1000 rounds thru my Sigma .40 its still where I originally dialed it in. A really important feature with the amount of money paid out for near anything these days. I beleive that they are so good I have 3 Crimson Trace grips and wish I could have 1 on my 4516-1 .45. Go to the Crimson trace web site and download or order their info on "WHY LASERS?"

Fun with the cats...only kiddin'. The TDR911 sure looks like a winner for the price.

I am not so sure "best" is a relative term for the best laser when you can clearly see which one is the brightest. I have owned or tried most brands on the market including Gyphon, Insight, Laser Max, Streamlight TLR-2,Crimson Trace, Aim Point, etc and for a red laser Crimson Trace is the brightest and extremely reliable. Plus their customer service can not be better.

sigma laser

i bought 2 stingray - armalaser for a 9mm and .40 one did not work out of the box the other wont hold adj. but the company replaced both no questions or hassle

Viridian green laser was significantly brighter than my Laserlyte.

How are the replacement stingrays working for you?

I really like the way the Stingray fits and looks on the Sigma.

I have a question about lasers, might as well put it here as starting a new thread since I want one for my Sigma.

I have a crimson trace on my 642, works great, except when its bright. I've heard the Green Lasers work in bright sun light.

Is there a laser, green or what ever that would work in bright sunlight like you incounter in shooting Steel Matches??

I second the vote for the TDR911 laser. It was inexpensive, shipped quickly, was easy to install, looks OEM and holds accuracy.

I have been in the laser business for over 30 years. Nothing else currently compares to the perceived visibility of the green laser since it is right in the middle of the visible light spectrum wheras red is toward the edge of perception. Look for a laser that is rated 5mw, the maximum power allowed. This being said, I own 3 different Crimson Trace red laser sights and have been very satisfied with their product. Green may be more visible in bright sunlight but it also costs considerably more.

Crimson Trace LG-406 for the Sigma. Hands down the best. And now Blade Tech just released a new holster for the LG-406 equipped Sigma. With this set up, you will not be disappointed. I'm very happy with mine. I'm glad to finally see some high quality accessories for this pistol.

TDR911 has been offering laser and holster combo for years. Reasonable price and custom made Kydex.

As with any product everyone has a different opionion and requirement. There are a lot of new laser options out there for the Sigma.
