Actually, Caj, I'm not on any approved list - in fact my wrist has been slapped a number of times for perceived infractions. But let me point out for the benefit of the court that this post is not about the internal lock, damnable device that it is, but about the internal lock key. I rest my case....

I often thought that at least they could have designed it to be the same as the handcuff key I have had on my keyring for 30 years so I didn't have to carry the gun key too "just in case".
Good point. There's plenty of nice pre-lock S&W revolvers out there that can be had for far less than the price of the new ones.
The engineers design what they think they can sell the most of and at the highest profit margin.
Not all customers know what they want.

I have never had my hand slapped for perceived infractions........I have been spanked a bit for actual infractions
Point taken
I looked on my key ring. Amongst the keys is a S&W hand cuff key and a bottle opener. Pretty indespensible combination if you ask me
