I had an early Sig P365. Probably put 500-600 trouble free rounds through it. Carried it a lot. Most others with whom I speak have the same experience. I talk to a lot of people. The greater weight of evidence suggests that the Sig P365, as a concept, is functional and reliable.
As for a gun that malfunctioned and was subsequently repaired at the factory, I would start over and evaluate it as a new gun with an open mind. Would have no problem carrying it.
