M&P 15-22 Picture Thread

IMG_0229-2.jpg

I cropped and adjusted a picture to illustrate the MAGPUL MOE stock.

MAGPUL MOE Milspec Stock with a 1/2" cheek riser and enhanced rubber butt-pad.

Again, notice that when the stock is fully collapsed the cheek riser blocks the operation of the bolt charging handle. I usually keep my stock 2 to 3 clicks out from the collapsed position. Thank god for the shorter charging handle stroke on the 15-22 than a major caliber AR.

dont forget that it gives you additional sling mounting points and in my opinion a cleaner appearance as well

Yup. Forgot about that.

The MOE stock is a great upgrade over the standard stock. The CTR is even better, allowing you to lock it and have a very solid feel.

The ACS stock, however, is more of a special purpose stock to me. It adds a bit of weight to the rear and gives a different cheek weld. I really like it on one of my ARs, but it's not for every gun. The clean lines on the MOE/CTR are hard to beat.

The rear contour of the MOE/CTR are more comfortable to me as well. The standard carbine stocks that are flat at the rear, even the popular SOPMOD/Crane from LMT, are just not shaped to go against your shoulder. Even if they have an angled rear they're not as nice.

My gun is finished painting, now i would like to get an opinion, Should i keep this size for the barrel or shorten it like 2 inches?

I hope to get fast reactions!

Great looking gun, what did you use for paint? That would match my XD 45ACP so perfect... I'm a sucker for OD/black combo. She's all the way to the left :)

Looks great, in particular, I like the looks of the rail covers as well as any I've seen.
Googled all of you add-on's. Buck sure add up quick.

Here's my 1st generation now that I've added the A2 front sight.

I am more of a rail kind of guy, but the MOE handguards are great in function and appearance. In order for me to go with them though I would need them to be the Mid-length or Rifle-length. I have a decent reach and I like to have my reaction side hand positioned far down the barrel.

I had a mid-length on mine when I had the quad rail gas block. I am running a carbine length on my AR and switched my 15-22 to a carbine because I wanted them to match. PM me and we can probably work out a deal on a mid-length MOE handguard, if that's the way you want to go.

Here's mine with a cheap leapers 3-9x scope, different handguard,A2 sight, and flash hider

.50ae, it looks good. You are grossly understating things. You have a lot of parts and effort into that handguard and front sight swap. Keep up the good work and enjoy the fruits of your labor.

Great job on your unique look. The grip got my attention. I am looking for that mod. I looked it up on Midway, great reviews there. I am a lefty so I have to be careful; it is the same configuration on both sides? How do you like it?
