Midway 22lr backorders recieved

I think it's more of their business practices. They take more backorders than they could ever realistically fill. And they are notorious for their S&H practices.

I think they are taking back orders based on what the numbers the manufacturers are giving them. It would be hard to deliver a back order that did not come in, wouldn't it?

As for the S&H practices: before you pick on them, check the rates increases that UPS came up with recently. According to the UPS website, another outfit correctly charged me $21.05 for 5 boxes of 5.56 ammo (4 pounds) from the warehouse to my house--about 145 miles. I don't like it either.

I read somewhere that they had taken some 65,000 backorders for the Remington Bucket O' Bullets. I'm not a supply chain expert, but that seems like A LOT of buckets. I can't fathom that many coming in at once. But that's just my opinion.

I can't remember where I read that, I'll have to try and Google search that again.

Again, I think that IF they had taken that many backorders, Remington must have told them to expect that many. I'm not a supply chain expert either but I have to believe that any knowledgeable retailer would not let customers backorder that much without expecting that much from the supplier.

Normally I'd agree with you. But I've read a lot of posts even on here about people's backorders being dropped and then the product being online the next day at a higher price.

I'm not telling anyone to think a certain way about Midway. Simply added my two cents.

It's my personal opinion that it seems as if they have some sly business practices. I don't go out of my way to shop there, but if there's a (somewhat) deal, I'm not going to get on a moral high horse over plinking ammo.

That being said, I have two orders on backorder with Midway myself. I take my 22LR where I can find it. If my backorders ship, great. If not, I haven't lost anything.

Just got a Bizrate survey from Midway concerning my order placed 11-27-13. Interesting. Ah, no, I have seen a single solitary bullet. So..at least it wasn't canceled. It was the M-22.

I have cancelled all my back orders from midway after receiving a case of 5,250 federal champion 22lr. Hope this helps y'all get your orders sooner. I walked away from about 10,000 rds. I am focusing on fed and cci now. But I still have tons of rem,win to burn threw. BiggB

I did the same thing. I only left the bucket of bullets (rems) on backorder. I just want one of those buckets. lol

I'm waiting on a back order of 1000 minimag's from Midway (12/12/13) and 1600 minimag's from Lohman Arms (3/7/13). I cancelled a back order from each. Maybe someday...
