Annoyed at thread drift

During one of my conversations today with an actual real person, this thought popped into my head: You know...you can make your point without making your point. I didn't know if this thought was profound or stupid. As you know, I like to live on the edge.

Road trip tomorrow. We're gonna go visitin' my side of the family.
I'm lookin' forward to thumb drivin' the truck. Gonna see what kinda mileage I can get out of it.

I love cleaning guns. It is soothing and therapeutic. I become reacquainted with each one. As I disassemble them, I marvel, all over again, at the engineering brilliance behind each part, asking myself, "how did someone think of this"?

After gently cleaning and/or lubeing each piece, inhaling the intoxicating aphrodisiac that is Hoppe's, I reassemble them while thinking, "wow, how fortunate am I that I get to shoot these again".

As I tuck them back in their little beds, I look upon them and muse, "soon.....soon".




I need a cold shower.

I just spent 20 minutes holstering each of my guns and tucking them into my pants in various positions just to see how they felt. They all felt so right in their own unique way and made me feel warm...secure...safe. I wish this was just a joke, but on my grandmother's grave, it's true. After Rusty's soliloquy, I suddenly feel cheap.

Just got caught up in 29 minutes and 28 seconds of SRV virtuosity. Loved the organ solo on second song. Wow.
