Won a 12 ga O/U shotgun, a CZ Ultralight I think is the model, will pick it up on Monday. Had a 1 in 10 chance on a 1911 Colt but no luck on that
The wind here woke me up out of a sound sleep about 6 AM this morning, finally calmed down about dark thirty tonight.

Up-and-down every night since surgery a week ago, came to check out the drift and it has not changed since I was up last time a few hours ago. I hope you regular drifters are sleeping well tonight.

Good morning all. It's about 50 here in Houston and the predicted high is 77 with sunny skies. It's another morning where I have no valid excuse not to go exercise the fat away, so off I go for five or six miles of scouting for hoards, aliens, emu, penguins, zombies, armadillos, possum, stray dogs, and anything else which may be a threat to mankind. Didn't get back here since yesterday morning and you all blew through a lot of posts! Gotta lot of work around here to get done today and NASCAR this afternoon so I am trying to get moving and have a productive morning. I may need more coffee to go with my eggs and bacon though!

And as the wind has died down, the smell of money is also settling in, but I am waiting for the actual green to settle in a little here on my piece of dirt!

As long as we're doing weather reports it's in the 20s here with a little snow on the ground. It's supposed to get to about 40 this afternoon. It was way windy here yesterday too.
With the wind no longer whistling between my ears, actually not at a high velocity as the past few days 
, I have had a thought/question settle in ?
Why do all Hollywood types and many musical types, and news types like to claim they came from a troubled childhood? Why do ¿reporter¿ types start the interview, eulogy, or story with how the reportee was assaulted, overworked, denied, or forgotten, by their, father, mother, or other family members which lead to their greatness?
Political types do not seem to have this childhood issue to the same percentage as the artist types, but often are the exact opposite, coming from wealth, and/or privilege, then getting into that game, become substance abusers, and or losing their morals (if they ever had them)?
So if you remain normal, had a good childhood, had good parents, kept your nose to the grindstone, you are ineligible for being great, helping humanity, or leading your country!
You just get to pay for the others to do so for you!
Has inherited royality become bestowed royality from the 4th estate, in a self serving form of feudal privilege?
Old well, maybe visiting the throne and another cup of joe will clear my thoughts?
