We never use the fob. It's something mechanical in the latch assembly itself. There's a plastic lever that freezes up and malfunctions. Apparently the only repair's replacement.
I'm planning on taking it out and seeing if I can fix it before ordering a replacement.
Thanks for the advice anyway.
The more I need to mess with plastic computer controlled modern technology, the more I want to get a restored model A.

If all else fails snubby....:D:D

860th Bomb Squadron, 493rd Bomb Group, Debach, Suffolk

The 493rd Bomb Group were the last Eighth Air Force Group to become operational, flying their first combat mission from Debach, Suffolk, on D-Day, 6 June 1944. The Group was known as "Helton's Hellcats" after their Commanding Officer Colonel Elbert Helton, who held the post for over a year.

Three guys were working up on a mobile phone tower: Cooter,
Ray and Donnie. As they start their descent, Cooter slips, falls off the tower and is killed instantly.

As the ambulance takes the body away, Ray says, 'Well,
shucks, someone should go and tell his wife.

Donnie says, 'OK, I'm pretty good at that sensitive
stuff, I'll do it.' Two hours later, he comes back carrying a case of
Budweiser.

Ray says,
'Where did you get that beer, Donnie?'' Cooter's wife gave it to me,' Ray replies.

'That's unbelievable, you told the lady her husband was dead and she gave you a case of beer?'

'Well, not exactly', Donnie says. 'When she answered the
door, I said to her, "you must be Cooter's widow."

She said, 'You must be mistaken... I'm not a widow.' Then I
said, 'I'll bet you a case of Budweiser you are...'

Some guys are good at that sensitive
stuff.

I Went Hunting Today!

No NOT animals!

But wifey and I went to several antique malls today after Church. Because I collect Morgan and Seated US silver dollars.

I found two, worth the money. One 1878 Morgan (1st year of production) I bartered it down to $28 (they were asking $36) in VF condition. And another 1921 Morgan (common date) but in mint condition for $22 (asking $28) at two different antique malls. We hit three malls total.

Wifey found a beautiful real CUT Crystal Glass bowl with feet, about 8" in diameter. For $125 and I got em down to $85. Perfect for our dresser. It has a good ring to it, when thumped. It looks like probably from the 1880's-1890's? It's old.

So besides Colt 1911's and Smith Revolvers and men's jewelry. US gold and silver coins are my other bad habits. She says sometimes, I look like Mr T?

Wifey collects old cut glass and old mine cut diamond jewelry and my money! LOL! She Loves old diamond stick pins from the turn of the century. And me and the kids and grandson always try to find a unique old diamond stick pin for her birthday or Christmas.

But I guess when you get old, you collected stuff, is what you do. So the kids can fight over it when your gone. I'm not leaving a will, but three large cans of mace? We'll see who wins!

It got me thinking, what else do people collect on the forum?

I remember that Member Dick Burg said 8-10 years ago, that he collected very very old spoons and forks.

OK. It's Monday tomorrow. Must prepare my brain now.
I have to tell it NOT to wake me up to let me know it's Monday until it actually IS Monday.
Sometimes it jumps the gun, like an hour after I go to bed Sunday night.
Sometimes I think it gets a little antsy, seein' how it just LOVES to get up at 0dark:30,
and get ready for work.
Sometimes I don't mind my mind doin' that. Most of the time I do.

Night-night, Drifters.
Oh, BTW. Great work Driftin' today.
See y'all after I get home from the salt mines.
I bet you can't sink a Porshe in a salt mine.

I know that Sunday is supposed to be a day of rest but lately I have been doing more than a days work, trying to get things done before it really gets hot here and those outside jobs get even tougher to get done. Some good posts today just don't have anything witty or funny to post tonight.

I have said this before. I will keep saying it till the laws and regulations are passed:

Any local used-car dealership owner or sales manager who videotapes his own TV spots should be fed to fire ants.

And any TV station that accepts those spots should lose its broadcasting license for at least six months.

Oh, and any outfit that runs "Christmas in July" or "Savin' o' the green" spots should be towed out to sea and sunk by naval gunfire,

Wow, I feel so much...lighter now.

Shalom, y'all.

Well, you know my philosophy. Just pretend this is witty.
