Never owned a bike or really ever wanted one even though my dad who is 86 still owns and rides a Harley Trike. He was always into bikes but not me! ;)
But I have to say if I'm going to get one it will be one of these!

Always loved British sports cars and I always loved the 650 Bonneville! ;)

I had a Suzuki GT750 Water bottle(two stroke, water cooled) around the same time. My last bike was a Yamaha FJR1300. I like your avatar with Casey Stoner.

Actually, my avatar is Mick Doohan, the guy that won tons of GP's for Honda before Stoner & Rossi.

I never owned a two stroke. The Kawasaki Mach Three was tempting, but it had such an evil reputation for quirky handling that I passed it up. My last bike was & is a CBR900rr. I've still got the beast & before I moved back to Texas, I spent quite a bit on it to replace hoses & rebuild carbs because it had been sitting for so long. I got it running & once again it's sitting idle in a storage unit. I had toyed with the idea of riding it again, but my health & the way people drive around here ruled it out...

We went to the Y today. Spin class, workout room then indoor pool.
I managed to work up the guts to do some incline dumbbell presses.
Makes me nervous holding a weight above my face. If my wrist gave out, I'd drop it right on my face.
My wife spotted me.
I used half the weight I usta pre-neuropathy.

I was skeptical at first when i heard there was a leaked
photo out of Paw Paw circulating.....
Could it be Snubby ???

I Hope everybody stayed high and dry today.
Here's to all of you folks having a nice weekend.:):)

Looks like ours around here will be wet.
But we need some rain right now with about all of the
corn in the ground just getting a good start.
We've been as dry lately as Texas has been wet.
The farmers need a good soaking rain right now.

Took Wife to dinner this evening. Her choice,
Cracker Barrel. I even picked up the check...
I know what you're thinking....What a guy !!:D:D

On their sign at the entrance read:
A Beautiful day means Sunny Skies, a nice Breeze,
a Happy Wife, and a broken lawnmower.

re: Ali

Associated Press is reporting "Muhammad Ali remained hospitalized Friday in the Phoenix area, battling respiratory problems serious enough to draw family members to his bedside.

The 74-year-old boxing great's respiratory issues have been complicated by the Parkinson's that he was diagnosed with in the 1980s, two people told The Associated Press a day earlier.

The two spoke separately in describing Ali's condition as being very concerning to family members. They declined to be identified because they were not speaking on behalf of the family.

Several of Ali's daughters reportedly flew to Phoenix late Thursday and early Friday to be with their father."

3rd of June

It was the third of June, another sleepy, dusty Delta day
I was out choppin' cotton, and my brother was balin' hay
And at dinner time we stopped and walked back to the house to eat
And mama hollered out the back door, y'all, remember to wipe your feet
And then she said, I got some news this mornin' from Choctaw Ridge
Today, Billy Joe MacAllister jumped off the Tallahatchie Bridge

And papa said to mama, as he passed around the blackeyed peas
Well, Billy Joe never had a lick of sense; pass the biscuits, please
There's five more acres in the lower forty I've got to plow
And mama said it was shame about Billy Joe, anyhow
Seems like nothin' ever comes to no good up on Choctaw Ridge
And now Billy Joe MacAllister's jumped off the Tallahatchie Bridge
And brother said he recollected when he, and Tom, and Billie Joe
Put a frog down my back at the Carroll County picture show
And wasn't I talkin' to him after church last Sunday night?
I'll have another piece-a apple pie; you know, it don't seem right
I saw him at the sawmill yesterday on Choctaw Ridge
And now ya tell me Billie Joe's jumped off the Tallahatchie Bridge
And mama said to me, child, what's happened to your appetite?
I've been cookin' all morning, and you haven't touched a single bite
That nice young preacher, Brother Taylor, dropped by today
Said he'd be pleased to have dinner on Sunday, oh, by the way
He said he saw a girl that looked a lot like you up on Choctaw Ridge
And she and Billy Joe was throwing somethin' off the Tallahatchie Bridge

I got a little trimming done on the sago palms today. I have to work in spurts because the city won't allow palm trimmings to be placed in the green barrel and must be put in the regular garbage barrel. I am also limited to about fifteen minutes of standing.

Due to the great interest in my progress by the forum members, I will continue to post regular updates.

Sorry to disappoint, but I forgot to take photos.

I've decided to start raising tropical fish but am stumped as to where to put them since I don't want a tank of water in the house. Did Mohammed Ali raise fish?

My dog has been especially sleepy today too. Quite the coincidence if you ask me.

My youngest grandson got his first haircut today.

Anyone else have a Revelation shotgun that they bought at a gas station in Arkansas for five bucks?

28 Gauge ammo is getting expensive and it doesn't fit in my K-22 revolver.

Does anyone else think the jingle for "My Pillow" sounds like "For the best ICE CREAM in the whole wide world......"?

Hopes #9 smells different to me than it used to.

I found my lost wrench today for my Axelson lathe.

Regards.

Bob

Good morning drifters, it's 86 degrees in the desert early this morning down from 117 yesterday. They say Saturday will be warmer.

No hordes have been seen. It seems the penguins say it's just too hot for them, the alligators say there isn't enough water, the gila monsters say their numbers are too small, the emu are worried because every one in the desert carries and the possums are still trying to cross the road but not having much luck.

Good morning all! Watching the weather again and more rain on the way for today. The young soldiers who drowned at Ft. Hood have all finally been recovered. A terrible tragedy but they need to be trained in dealing with Mother Nature as much as how to deal with terrorists. A lot of the training they get is extremely dangerous due to mission requirements. Drift on,don't worry be happy.

lnl, so many people ask me why I don't own a Harley. Most guys I know only rode them because they were paid to do so. I'm no Harley hater by any means but after years on a vibrating Harley, anyone whose brain hasn't been rattled will opt for the Gold Wing.[emoji12]

I know little about motorcycles and that knowledge is before 1974. Nor will I comment on a "Texas Steeplechase" or other crimes against the ecology.
I got eight hours sleep last night. We have two days of final loading, weather report changed, I will run the generator and A/C after 0800 local when loud noises are acceptable.
I thought of a great question for our time, but forgot it. Can't write notes while driving. Wife is feeling poorly, one med cuts resistance to infection and she has stuff lingering in her gut.
After our return from the great adventure, she is going to have a hip replacement. It runs in her family.
Carrying revolvers this trip, should be OK.
Especially in Bear country.
