Never owned a bike or really ever wanted one even though my dad who is 86 still owns and rides a Harley Trike. He was always into bikes but not me! ;)
But I have to say if I'm going to get one it will be one of these!

Always loved British sports cars and I always loved the 650 Bonneville! ;)

Like you LNL,I never got into bikes, but if I had,the Triumph Bonneville would have been the bike... we started raising a family before turning 20, so there was little time or money for such things.

BCC,,, nice ride! ;) My brother in law has one!
timn8er, Yeah Nortons were nice, but I just had a thing for that Triumph! ;)
My dad has restored several old Harley's and an Indian over the years, he started with bikes when he was a kid. But me turning of age he'd never let me have one?
He just about blew a gasket when ? I came home with my first Austin Healy! :D
The Austins were my thing and the bike bug never really bit me?
Now my son it did! :)

Actually, as stated in the post, that is a BSA, not a Norton. There is a guy that is remaking Norton's, modernizing them & generally making a more up to date sport bike out of them while retaining "the look".

I know little about motorcycles and that knowledge is before 1974. Nor will I comment on a "Texas Steeplechase" or other crimes against the ecology.
I got eight hours sleep last night. We have two days of final loading, weather report changed, I will run the generator and A/C after 0800 local when loud noises are acceptable.
I thought of a great question for our time, but forgot it. Can't write notes while driving. Wife is feeling poorly, one med cuts resistance to infection and she has stuff lingering in her gut.
After our return from the great adventure, she is going to have a hip replacement. It runs in her family.
Carrying revolvers this trip, should be OK.
Especially in Bear country.

Regarding your wife, my solution to issues involving the stomach is yogurt. The probiotic, live culture, seems to help restore balance in the digestive track. We have come to prefer Greek style yogurt as we like its texture better.
My neurologist added a med that I was on before, but at a pediatric dose rather than the full strength adult dose! Seems to be working, no zombie affect, and I have got a full nights sleep for 3 nights in a row! 😀 Well one and only one business outake per night, and immediately back to sleep! 😴
The quick thunderstorm that passed through last night, was in perfect coordination with my 'visit' so the flashes made it so no lights were turned on, no trips, no wet feet, just .....! 😊
Have a safe, uneventful trip !!!!! 😀

You and I are polar opposites. I was never a car person, but as soon as I was legal age to drive, I took lessons and got my motorcycle license. Then raising a family happened so thirty years passed before I got my first bike, a used Yamaha to brush up my skills on.

One day hubby come's home after trading in his Goldwing on a new Wing, and tells me to grab my helmet for a ride. We ride back to the dealership, where the owner is waiting to hand me the keys to a new Nighthawk 750.

It was a dream come true for me.

Breznev was a hunter and a collector.
I believe the revolver he is wearing is one that Chuck Conners gave him, a single action colt. Nice carved holster !

bigwheel, nice ride, never rode one but had a friend who did and he loved it!
My son in law had one for awhile before moving onward and upward with a custom build! ;)

BCC,,,lnl, so many people ask me why I don't own a Harley. Most guys I know only rode them because they were paid to do so. I'm no Harley hater by any means but after years on a vibrating Harley, anyone whose brain hasn't been rattled will opt for the Gold Wing.
BCC, nice ride, You ride what you like and enjoy,,,,and what you want to buy! ;)
I was never a big fan of Harley's either? Didn't hate'em either! But I just always liked that Triumph! ;)

Robert, know the feeling,,,that's one of the reasons I gave up my first Healy! ;)
How I wish I had that one back! :D

I aced the motorcycle driving cone test on a '72 Suzuki ts 185.
I raised the idle a tad and rode the rear brake in the tight turns.
It worked perfect. Everytime I practiced the lines at the dmv I failed but on test day I aced it.

Good Morning:

My first motorcycle was a Brand New 1969 Yamaha Twin Jet 100. It cost $425 and we opted for the chrome front fender exchange the dealer sold for an additional $15. I got it on my 14th birthday on December 9th, 1969. It was supposed to be my birthday and Christmas present combined that year. It was what I got my motorcycle license on. In Tennessee at that time you could get your motorcycle license at the age of 14. I've had all kinds of bikes. I loved my 1982 Honda CBX 6 cylinder. I had a 2006 Honda CBR 1000 that would do 80mph in just second gear. Had it to 140 several times. My son has been riding since he was 5 (first bike was a Z50) and the CBR scared the hell out of him.

It started my love of motorcycles and CHROME! The Twin Jet 100. I had a motorcycle continuously till six years ago till I got hit (side swiped on the interstate doing 70) on my Harley by a drunk lady while I was coming back Sturgis in 2010.

Wifey asked me one time did get I ever get depressed over losing my leg? I told her I got depressed over losing my Road King more! She said "Your A F^#£in Idiot!". I loved my bike. It took three years to build. And about 20 thousand in chrome. Not counting the 4 thousand in custom paint. I put so much time and effort, to get it perfect. It was featured in two national magazines. I can't even look at pictures of it, even now. I cry! But seeing a picture of me with both legs don't bother me? Maybe I am "A F#*+€in Idiot"!

Good morning drifters it's 95 in the desert this morning going to about 118 before the day is done. The summer temps are here.

All this talk of bikes has me wishing I had one again but at 71 I'm not putting out the money for one. If I did it would be a Harley cause I always liked them, nothing against all the others but I just liked the Harley best. My neighbor has 9 Harley's, three here and the rest in CA where he has his home and shop. This guy has a knack for finding bargins on used bikes.
