Annoyed at thread drift

Just got home after long hot day,super hot running cars were too hot to open the hood! Just got a call to contact my Senators to fight knee jerk gun control the antis are trying to shove down our throats. Know what is going on before it is too late! Called both of my Senators and their mail boxes were full,have to call back later and I will try e mail!

I picked up this pickwick LP as a kid and wore it out playing along with it. I got a new copy back in the '80s and only played it a few times to record it to cassette tape. I still have it.

How about a color plate of SRV's "Couldn't stand the Weather"? Still got that one too. It's framed and above my bed.

What is is it about the start of summer that causes the increase in traffic accidents, especially the younger set. They get their freedom and suddenly lose it! 😥

We have had our tragedies here also. A 23 year old man on a motorcycle head on with a minivan on a narrow 2 lane road curve. A week later his sister was married in Colorado.
Talked to the father today and he said everything was done to minimize the death intruding on the wedding, but everyone on the girls side of the family was aware and it was difficult.
Another one I just learned about was even more senseless. Over the weekend a 13 y.o. boy decided he had had enough and committed suicide! Same small unicorporated town nearby. Only 716 people in the whole township! Susposedly no one saw any signs?

Summertime and the living is disposed to be easy. 😞
 
Beautiful weather here today. I went for a nice hike in the mountains while my wife was at work.
Also, I got an order on a pair of moccasins.
After my wife got home from work we headed on out to a nearby gated community to get the foot tracings for the moccasins.
Talk about no pants, it was a nudist community.
So while we were there, we decided to go for a walk and check out some of the houses.
It had gravel roads and steep hills, looked like a challenging hike.
I looked at her, she looked at me and we both threw our clothes in the back seat of the truck.
Then we took off walking.
There's some nice houses up there.
Felt great on a nice warm sunny day, getting sun on places that usually don't get sun.
My wife kept laughing at me because my behind's not as dark as the rest of me.
We got back to the truck, put our clothes on and headed on home.

The Yankee Flipper bird feeder has been a hit. The squirrels get flung about three feet from the feeder, and then try to chew it out of spite.

The raccoons even leave it alone, after getting their wee paws pulled once.


Something over the last few days has been emptying it, however. Today, it made its presence known.










There's another doe around, nursing two wee speckled babies. I'll try to get a pic of her and her brood.
