Not a big fan of GP, but developed a taste for Foie Gras while there.

I like my little Glock 23 in .40. Fits my hand pretty well, when I pull the trigger it goes bang and the bullet goes where I want it to within reason anyway. A little sharp in the recoil department but I'm a pretty good sized guy so I can handle that part pretty well. All in all I like it.

I seem to be alone again, at least no one has posted in over three hours. Maybe I'm invisible again, that seems to happen a lot lately. Maybe I'm not really here but in some other universe. I wonder how I'll get back?

Time to get up. I was gonna go fishing but it looks like there's rain coming. It's been kind of dry here through June, we've had a couple showers but not enough. It usually doesn't get hot & dry until July.

Good morning all. It's 82 degrees and 85% humidity for a heat index of 90 here in Houston at 4:30 AM. Just another summer morning. I was thinking about stopping during my walk this morning at the HEB by the cat waxing joint for a loaf of rye bread. I'd make the stop at about mile four in the walk. I figure I'll be so soaked with sweat by that time that I should not go shopping. I'll do my walk, come home, get cleaned up and then go back out for groceries. I have a corn beef brisket I'm going to cook today and am planning on making Reuben sandwiches. I think it has been two years since I last did a homemade Reuben. Grey Pupon... sounds like the aliens been a probing. Each of you have a great day!

Drifted a good amount overnight while I was attempting to sleep. One of those nights when my mind kept going and goin and going. Finally got up and turned the coffee on. Was evaluating the turning points in my life that seem to happen without causing me any undue stress and then every once in awhile I spend a night thinking about things that it is too late to do anything about even if I wanted. That probably is significant but a shrink probably wouldn't want to go wandering around in my head for very long or they would never get out in good condition. Now that is my drift for today. Drift on,don't worry,be happy!

Unfortunately, the caves were long closed to the public, but they had just opened a replica for the public to view. I've seen on the news that a more complete replica is now open.
The replica was just an excuse to get out of Paris for the weekend. We enjoy the capitol, but our hearts were captured by rural France.
