Annoyed at thread drift

Years ago we had a guy who would ride up and down the streets in a truck, he would sharpen scissors, knives and lawn mower blades, he would sharpen them while you wait, I bet it's been at least fifty years since I've seen anyone doing that.

My upholstery guy that I've dealt with since about 1982. Has a guy that comes around that sharpens his scissors. He has to keep them sharp. To cut thick leather, vinyl and fabric. And I've never asked how much or what else he sharpens? Or how much he charges. But I guess he just does commercial businesses?

Good morning all. It's hot and humid here, but right now it feels like a dry 75 because I'm sitting inside an air conditioned home. I'm having lunch at Pappasito's Mexican Restaurant today, so I've got to get in my morning walk as a prepigout calorie burn. Each of you have a great day!

Good morning drift,hope everyone has a good Saturday. Afraid we may have trouble here in Houston,two officers shot and killed a young man with a gun last night. People won't care that he was armed and dangerous. There have been protests here every night since the other recent shootings but the pot is boiling and the crazies can pop up anytime on either side of the discussion. Drift on.

Not such a nice day here starting out, Rainy, cloudy, overcast. The temp is like 76 degrees with 87% humidity.....yuck!
All the talking heads are still in Dallas, nothing new to be said, all the morning quarterbacks rehashing every aspect of the incident!
My thoughts are still with the ones that were lost though!
We're into Granddaughter Day #5.... And she just got up! .......

I hope everyone got a little rest last night?
I didn't. I finally went to bed at 3:00 am.! I just couldn't unwind. Kept thinking about all the events, the last few days. And wondering what's next? I'm going to avoid the news the next few days. I guess I can watch Sponge Bob. At least him and Mr Crabs, end their bickering, peacefully.
So enjoy your Saturday. Stay safe, watch your back. And hug your loved ones today. Because there no promise of a tomorrow.

Just checking my email and I have 28.99 refund for purchasing books on my Nook. Have to use it to buy books but anything is better than nothing. I would think even cheap electronic books are very profitable! Drift on!

Bonjour ya'all.
Practicing escapism, courtesy of TV coverage of the Tour de France. Great competition amidst beautiful scenery that brings back pleasant memories. Just what the doctor ordered after this weeks events.
The race was shortened 3km yesterday, after a fluke event with the "Kilometer-to-go" spider.

Neighborhood seems to be free of Rhea, only the usual groundhog keeping an eye on things.

Is Everybody NUTZ Or Just Me
The new debate on social media today. The use of the robotic machine that was used to disperse the bad guy. Most are saying it was totally unfair? They are saying, they should have given him more time in case he decided to surrender? They should have waited and continued negotiations. It was inhumane? I guess to give him more time, to do more carnage?
Is the World Just Crazy? Or am I just so un politically correct, that I shouldn't exist?
I think I'm going to go throw up!
