Sorry I don't have pictures handy, but I like twins. I have an 18-4 and a 15-4 and they are a lot of fun at the range.

However, my favorite is my 625PC. Love the round, love the moon clips, love the gun - it's a tack driver.

I do not have lots of revolvers, but of the few that I do have, my Victory model .38 special, built circa 1943 is my favorite. It is 100% stock just like it left the factory. I take it out about once a month and run about 24 rounds thru it. (Would not want it to wear out before I do!)

CMAS IS COMING

Dear Santa please bring one of all the above. My (sold) Ruger Redhawk 5" 357 with the Jack Weigand Hybraport/enhancement package was a dandy, The faster I shot it in D/A mode, the smaller the groups got. I thought the 4" 681 was the bomb until I got a mdl 10-6 4" HB (it's a close call). Since I shoot 38 specials with a 148 gr dewc about the most, I figured a 38 special (only) revo would be in order, NOT DISAPOINTED with it. I've had the pleasure of shooting others S&W revo's in 10mm, 45 auto rim. I've yet to have the pleasure of owning/shooting one in 45 Colt. SO MANY guns, so little time/$. Add a pre war mdl 27 while you're at it. If chasing/picking up brass weren't an issue add a 45 acp bottom feeder. PS, Have a 617? The Ansac speed loader & block take it to a new level.

Since it’s cold outside... I’ll go with my 610, then maybe my 24 or 25.

For outdoors at the 50/100yd range, my 629 DX, and Dan Wesson Supermags.

My edc 686+ 3” has been the usual favorite the past few months. Loaded with 38spl wadcutters, my wife and sons have fun with it. I’ll switch over to some 357 handloads which are closer to 38+p. My wife likes to shoot my M69 4.25” with Trailboss loads, so having a good looking range partner never hurts either. The kids will claim the 617 or 1911/22 as their favorite. I’m just waiting to get my new 625-8 PC out, I should have the test loads of 45AR loaded this week to go along with the 50 loaded moon clips. Should be a good range day

Yup, 6 year old thread - great read!
Not withstanding two 22LR Smiths, my all time favorite range revolver is a 27-2, YOB 1967, that my great uncle bought new, my dad got it at his passing in the '90s, and I just got it this Easter when my dad passed. It is part of so many memories over the past 30 years and aside from the sentimentality (3 gen family possession over 50 plus years), it is the all time most enjoyable shooting revolver I have ever had the pleasure of shooting.

I don't have a favorite. About any GOOD S&W will do. Depends on what day it is I guess. Last trip it was a 617. It's my newest S&W, I also took a Wrangler Birdshead.

just put a Leopold 2.5x8x33 on my 460 smith. Have shot red dot for past 12 years.. 25 yards off bench I put 5 shots in one hole..at 100 I had four touching and one flyer inch high.. Loving this new scope

The 2 revolvers I take to range the most are S&W 629-2 6" barrel and a S&W 681 no dash 4" barrel.

The 629 was my first big bore revolver,I had the PC shop work over the the sa/da trigger and fine tune the action. It has sent a lot of lead down range through the years since I bought it new in the early 90's for whitetail hunting.

The 681 is also a favorite with one of the smoothest double actions I've ever shot.
