So you say it’s not a conspiracy

Actually, I missed something...

When I read your comment I thought it said "a war", meaning ANY war. I went back and reread it and discovered you said "THE war" as in the context of World War II.

Sorry for the misunderstanding. Just bad eyes on my part!

Jon, no problems whatsoever, that was why I asked for clarification. Thank you for your response.

You missed it again. Its a simple question. The thing is you are so bent on a confrontation that you haven't caught on to the fact that I was agreeing and pointing out germanshepards error in claiming "Alaska wasn't a state or part of the United States during WWII. Nice try keep going."

It was indeed part of the USA and it was indeed invaded by the Japanese.

Maybe I misconstrued something in the posts that you were posting. Was not attempting to be confrontational.

What kept sticking in my mind was :Originally Posted by germansheperd V

The no boots on our soil in over 200 years was what I was trying to correct.

When I see a caliber at the new regular price that I shoot -
I buy some. Usually limited to 2 boxes.
Like the two boxes of 9mm that I bought yesterday.
Just bought that Glock 9 Thrill-o- meter, it needs ammo.
I'm not selling any, I do pass Ammo to my Son and SIL.

You must have more disposable income than I do. 3x the the cost a year ago doesn't equate to something I need today.

How does higher demand explain Cabelas/BassPro/Academy receiving less?

In normal times every one of the 63,000 dealers wouldn't be trying to fill the shelves. Virtually all dealers have no or little stockpile. Production capacity isn't sufficient to fill the shelves of that many dealers. There are only so many boxes that can be distributed. From talking to dealers around here pretty much every dealer has a standing order for everything they can get.

Probably a whole bunch of history classes. The first invasion of the U.S. was during the War of 1812. Next IIRC, was 1916 in New Mexico, unless you count the Civil War. Then would come the Philippines, Wake Island, Guam and then Alaska. Did I miss any guys?

I was glad too see you included the 1916 invasion in NM. I don't think many people know about that. Larry

Holy smoke. Received a add from the Glock site for primers and powder. Federal primers $250 per thousand. WOW
I know it's not going to happen for me. If that's really the price we start having to pay I'm done. That's not hard for me to say, that's just stupid prices, it will be hard to let go but I'll find another hobby.

20 nice fellas from the Middle East were on American soil for a year or better before they flew three hijacked planes into various American centers of power, and tried to do the same with a fourth.

I have many other examples, but that ought suffice . . .

Isn't the phrase "boots on the ground" generally accepted to mean a military invasion force?

I never knew that those 20 TERRORISTS were members of a foreign military. I thought they were civilians.

Whose military were they part of, and what were their ranks?

I consider that incident to constitute an invasion and attack. Opinions vary, though . . .

Holy smoke is right! At that price, my stash is worth more than one of my IRAs.

Them financial geniuses told me to buy gold. I'm smarter than that; I bought primers.

You get it

We have reached cognitive dissonance:

o You can't buy ammo because you are buying too much.

o Stores aren't receiving ammo because they ordered too much.

So coming in looking for a better life is the same as coming in to overthrow and conquer a country? Have they stormed the capitol?
Methinks you have a very simple outlook on life.

The result is the same, regardless.
