I buy Arby's roast beef sandwiches by the half dozen, usually the half pounders. I remove them from the foil wrapper and put them in a paper towel and then a ziplock bag. Into the freezer with them. About once every week or two I thaw one out and then toss it in the microwave with the ziplock cracked open a bit. About 5 minutes on 30% power steams it up nicely so it it just like fresh. Had one of those tonight.

Chili Colorado with flour tortillas and red wine.

re the casserole tonight; it was magnificent! Ruthie layered chicken and potatoes, poured a mixture of butter, cream of chicken soup, chicken stock, sour cream and powdered ranch dressing mix and topped it with cheese. I have no words to describe how delicious it was.

I'd put that sauce on my corn flakes.

Felt like a Chinese food kick tonight. Or at least, the Tex-Mex style of Chinese we have here in Texas. I am a big fan of General Tso's chicken and I like it fairly spicy. The place I get it from often is a bit light on their spices so I usually add a bit of Schezwan sauce I get from Walmart that is particularly spicy. Tonight it turns out that they spiced it pretty well, and I added another layer of heat to it. Still enjoyed it, but I may regret it tomorrow. Took some Gaviscon this evening just in case.:D

I've cooked the last 10 nights,

so I just came in from a dog walk and ordered Chinese/Asian carry out, our closest Asian restaurant has been mediocre to almost good for the last twenty years. They quietly changed owners/management last summer. They are now always good to (almost) very good.
General Tao's chix, Mushu veg and Teriyaki beef!
