I've had crab cakes in Maryland dozens of times so when my wife had a craving to fix them we were pessimistic that we could do it justice. She got a recipe off Pinterest for "Maryland style crab cakes" and I gotta say, they were superb!

Valentine's Day dinner…our 47th together…

Grilled filet mignon, asparagus, roasted Parmesan tomatoes and baked sweet potato topped with butter/brown sugar/ cinammon mixture.

All washed down with a nice bottle of champagne.

She is at work and I sent her that pic.

Was going to order a veggie pizza from the Hut but Valentine's Day crashed their website. So, I have turkey burgers in the frying pan simmering in some Worchestershire and leftover au gratin 'taters. Gonna toss some provolone on the burgers.

The life of a nurse. That is one of the reasons why Mom moved from nursing to medical transcription. Work from home and be available for us kids.

Crawfish etouffee, as I finally got around to cooking up that stuff I posted a couple days back. It was pretty darn good for coming out of a package. Still have two meals worth left. One in the fridge and one in the freezer.

tonight was our delayed Valentines dinner... Ash Wednesday & St Valentines is a sad combination... for some... so tonight was steak, broccoli and roasted potatoes... roasted some marinated chicken thighs for later in the week since the oven was on...
