Order a 30mm mount from Primary Arms. With the front sight you'll want the high mount. I have the sight and mount from PA and they are really high quality and the fastest shipping and best customer service.

The only things I did was change to a BCM Gunfighter grip and charging handle.

Go with the sport. It even gets good word on ar15.com. Unless you're planning on doing lots of classes and shooting 1000s of rounds it's a great gun. Well made, lifetime warranty from S&W, etc. You'll never notice the lack of dust cover and fwd assist.

The fixed rear back up sight was standard up until last year I think. All the new sports now come with the Magpul folding sight. Great gun. Love mine.

Switched to Slip2000 EWL. Seems to work a bit better. May be just the placebo effect but that's ok.

I tried Slip2000 EWL and it seems to stick around a lot better than the Breakfree.

It's strange. I put the CLP on and a little while later it's gone. Doesn't happen on my pistol. I'm thinking of trying some grease instead. Maybe something thicker than oil.

It seems that no matter how much CLP I put in the bolt and bcg it seems to "evaporate" and my bcg dries off. Is this normal? Should I use a different lube? Thanks

I paid 839 for my sport back in March. I figure I guess you could wait for prices to go down further, but these days they could just as easily go right back up fast.

If it's not tier 1 you're just not a real operator and half the time you'll miss your target from 25 yds, especially if your AR doesn't have an FA or dust cover :)
