15-22 Accuracy (For the nonbelievers)

wow thats alot of cheese to shoot i pay 5.00 per hour there a 100/200/300 range plus a tactical gun and automatic slots and target clay to shoot on 195 acres

CA is expensive :) I'm looking at joining a shooting club which has it's own private range with distances up to 700 feet? yards? Forgot. 700 something :D It's $180 a year but when you first join, there's an initiation fee of $180 as well. Would take 25 minutes to get there and I can draw from a holster n' other cool things at any hour of the day :)

What club? That's a good deal, that's what I pay for my club out in NC. I never found a club that cheap when I was in cali

West End Gun Club in southern California. It's kind of close to Lytle Creek(same area)

Took grandson to range today and he blew through 500+ rounds and couldn't get the 15-22 smile off face. I did have the chance to do a comparative shoot with my bull barrel 10-22 @ about 80 yards. Was using Fed 525's HV/HP's. Results the 25 round groups were very similar about 3" spread. Would have thought the Ruger would have shot a little better. By the way the 3 x 12 scope on the Ruger was crank up all the way as compared to the 1 x 4 on the 15-22 (to be frank I don't know what that scope was set at). Given the differences in scopes the 15-22 held its own. There were no FTF/FTF during this shoot. Now I gotta get that 15-22 smile off the kid's face.

Enjoy it while you can….they grow up fast...won’t be long before the smiles change to saying he’s packing an extra 25 rounder in is pocket!

I don't know that this little game has anything to do with accuracy, but it was fun. This is from last night at the indoor range...15 yards. I took a hole punch to these cards and tried to put a .22 slug from the M&P15-22 cleanly through the hole. No dice last night but you can see I came pretty close with the 9 of diamonds.

Give it try if you like, but you only get one shot per card! :)

Cool game.

My 15 year old daughter, using a Ruger model 77-22, Simmons scope, and the cheap Remington "Thunder Bolt" ammo. A lot depends on the firearm .

My 77/22 shoots groups like that too, but the discussion is the accuracy of the M&P 15-22, not the Ruger 77/22 or other rifles. :)

25 yards. Standing, tasco red dot sight. Federal 550 champion. 74 rounds had one dud.

I have to say that the extra weight helps. The shroud I made is I guess over made. 1.35 round about 2 inch long on the end cap. But it helps, .22 not much recoil but now unless I move the barrel doesn't move at all from the shots being fired. I will try bench resting next time.
