3" 64-3, range report in post 11

Thanks guys, well just got back from the range-woohoo! It's a bit of an ugly gun but it sure shoots well. The top pic shows the first 6 rounds at 7 yards, the second pic shows the next at 10 yards. Federal American Eagle 130gr fmj., put a total of 50 through it then another 20 of Gold Dot 135 +P.

I don't even think I'm going to mess with getting it bead blasted (never cared for polished stainless guns) and the action is really nice, just probably leave well enough alone.

Oh and I just ordered a holster from Lobo :D

May I ask your point of aim with gold dots?

These pictures of the bobbed hammers have me considering bobbing my 65.

Stock is OK...!

I know that "bobbing the hammer" is done to make a handgun more "snag-free" when drawing from under a jacket or coat; or even shooting from within a coat pocket (?!), but I've never liked altering a stock S&W revolver...

The reliable function of a revolver, so much a tradition of S&W's over most other brands, might be negatively effected...

Also, it will likely reduce resale value, too...
