3” Mod 64 from Centerfire

Got my 3" Mod 64-6 from Centerfire today. I was pleased with overall condition. Very Suprised to see Lanyard Loop. It is different from any I've ever seen. Not attached to frame but has a flange that is fitted into bottom of grip. Hard to tell if grip was designed this way or an aftermarket modification. MIM parts. I haven't taken it apart yet but it does need a good cleaning and there is a lot of rust on the backside of the trigger. Mine has IMG Frankfort Kentucky etched on top of frame but could easily be removed. Pretty good deal for $400. Not near as nice as my 3" Mod 64-3 but still a good value.

I tried to get one of those and they sold out quick! Looks like a solid piece for the price compared to what 3" k frames go for.

That's what I plan on carrying in mine if it ever comes. Still have the replacement FFL blues going on here. I recently tried some of those Buffalo bore + p FBI loads after shooting some 357 Winchester silvertips in my 4 inch model 65. Very hard to measure recoil of course but they sure felt very similar
