Just found a nice relic from the 1930s. It's a Military & Police, Model of 1905, 4th change. I estimate blueing at about 90%, and I'd gues the DOB as 1933, pending a Jinks letter. I found in reviewing the SCSW that this gun is one of the scarce few that has a square butt, supposed to be worth 2x normal value. The stocks, by the way, are numbered to the gun. It locks up tight, has a perfect bore, and is mechanically excellent. Here are a couple of pics:

I don't see a correction for that - maybe I'm blind? ????
It is this correction:"Page 140: Left column : delete 2nd bullet text under variations"

I seem to remember that the issue with the square butt being a premium was only in the 2" nickled guns. I may be wrong (wouldnt be the 1st time)

Any 2" pre-war is scarce, and they bring good prices. The Square butt TWO inch PRE-war is extremely rare in blue or nickel. I have never seen one.

David Carroll has a 2" SB 1905 in nickle.
