Advice needed!

Yep... I just made a quick trrip over there, only 10 minutes from my shop. Usual excuse, had to go to the bank... ;) Poked around like usual and I think I just put one of those Bone Collector 500's on layaway... 1 of 1,000 made.. I go back up tonite, we target shoot on Monday nites.. they have most all guns available to shoot... It's also very easy to get to, right off the highway..

Yup, just gave em a call, you're a life saver bro, thanks so much! It's about 3 and a half hours away from my house, but it's worth it, I'll have to just make a day of it.

3.5hrs... a bit of a ride, but it really is worth it to visit such a huge icon as S&W... I thought maybe you were closer, but not a bad ride ... if ya come down, let me know, maybe see ya over there..

I am going through the same type of quandary. I have two guns that would qualify as concealed carry.

The first is an Ultracompact 45 ACP with Novak adjustable night sights and a red laser sight. l had the trigger worked on to give me a 3 lb pull and will carry it cocked and locked. I went this way because of the power found in the 45 ACP and the size. I also liked the all stainless steel makeup of the gun. My hands will rust a piece of unprotected steel overnight If I ever have to pull the trigger in self defense I don't want to have to make the decision twice.

The second gun is NA Arms 22-22 Mag. It is small, very lite, easy to conceal under almost any condition and is better than a knife if needed. I always carry a knife. Have for 50 years or more so an improved defensive weapon is my reason for carrying this one.

I am debating and researching a third gun. I don't know where I will end up. My criteria right now is as small a possible, as light as possible, as much power as I can get, rust resistant, recoil for me is a none issue. I don't think anything out there is going to be much more that a 308 hand gun without a muzzle break. I own and shoot one now.

I had the 9 and 40 FS then obtained a 45FS carried all for extended periods. I now carry a 45C and have the 45FS as backup and range gun.
Carried all in the same Galco Summer Comfort. I will be sticking with the 45's although the 9 and 40's are great pistols.
