In Pinal County, AZ they are advising people going camping to carry a firearm due to the various cartel members coming across the border from Mexico. The TV station I heard this on this morning said armed groups have been seen coming across the border. Why they have not been arrested I don't know.

I know from past postings you are kind of in the middle of nowhere, but how close to this are you? I have a friend who lives somewhere around Tuscon and complained several years ago about this but I don't believe it was an armed issue. He also complained that people from a certain other state were popping in and ruining things in AZ as well.
I had looked to buy land many years ago in the Kingsman area which would have been out in nowhere land as well. I loved AZ but I don't think I want to start dealing with those issues! ;)

Watermelon

Geoff
Whose biggest decision will be apples or watermelon for breakfast fruit?

Watermelon...definitely watermelon. I bought a good one last week, wasn't cheap, but definitely worth it. That puppy was so big I could barely lift it. That may sound impressive, but it's more an indication of my health than the size of the melon.

I may be the only kid of the 40's who does not like watermelon? It is almost an allergic type reaction/feeling. If I go somewhere where the fruit salad has watermelon in it or watermelon juice I can sense it, and stay away! A child in the early 50's had problems telling adults NO I do not eat watermelon! My how times have changed, something with kids now days can have multiple allergy warnings from parents etc.

They used one of those in San Berdoo. It was comical watching all the different agency guys jockeying for position to get on it. I guess a charitable term for those guys would be "motivated." :D

It's Offical

My baby is growing up! My 13 3/4 year old grandson is now a High School Student!

He graduated from middle school this morning! I was a GREAT ceremony. Him and about 200 of his class mates are headed to High School. They had to dress up, only in black and white. Black Dress shoes, black dress pants and white dress shirt and he wore a black bow tie. He looked so handsome!

Seems like yesterday I was chasing him around the coffee table trying to change his diaper. And like most boys, almost peeing in my face while I changed him.

We've had him since he was almost 1 1/2. Basically it was me alone. Wifey always worked full time and I worked for myself and took him everywhere with me! To my car lot almost daily, to All the car auctions and parts houses and they've watched him grow up! All the office ladies at the auctions just loved on him and several always brought him little gifts and toys and such. I'm getting emotional just typing this! They grow up so fast! And we've been there everyday since the first day of kindergarten.

His sorry, so called Mother didn't show up for the graduation today, after telling him for a week she would! That's low down! But me and wifey were there for him. And I told him we'll always be there for him! And he knows that. She'll have to answer to the man upstairs, for doing him this way all these years!

So wifey went on to work and I told him, we would go any where he wanted for lunch! I offered Red Lobster, Logan's, Out Back. He picked Shoneys! He has loved Shoneys since he was tiny and that's where we went! He Loves their food bar.

I gave him a $100 bill and a $50 Play Station gift card and my son gave him $50 cash.. He was thrilled. His Sorry, so called mother gave him, wait for it, wait for it! Absolutely NOTHING! Not even a phone call congratulating him. Just a text this morning saying she didn't feel good and couldn't make it! And demanded pictures. He can send em to her, I'm not. Hell, I never feel good, but I made sure I went! For Him!

So it's been a GREAT Day!

And I'm kind'a glad his sorry so called mother didn't show. But I hate it on his part! I can't stand the useless Winch! And that's putting it nicely! I had already planned on sitting across the gym from her! But God teaches us NOT to hate. But the way she has chosen pills and drugs over this child, makes me want to hate her! I always want him to LOVE her, but he don't have to like her! We never ever talk bad about her to him. Her actions do it for us! Like today. When he gets older, he'll figure it out.

Emotional Rant Over! It's been a emotional roller coaster for me all day! Watching our baby graduate, the 8th grade. My baby is growing up!

Your grandson is still lucky though, he has you & your wife! That's a pretty young age to find out that one of the people that is supposed to love you is the way she is. Hang in there & love him the way you know he needs & I'm sure he will turn out good!

At the last company I worked for in Florida, we modified CAT skid steers into these. Saw videos of them in use by the State Troopers in PA. Awesome piece of equipment...could be fitted with a claw attachment that had actually been used to remove a perp from a house....after they bashed in the wall.

What will they think of next?
That looks like one of those West Texas portable Deer blinds.

Which begs the question.
Kwelske...Could this be adapted to take out rampaging hoardes of Emu ?

SW MP15,
Great thing you are doing, "just being there" for the kid.
Money, gifts, mean nothing compared to simply spending time
with kids.
It's sad that his mother will probably never have a relationship
with the young man but kids are more resilient than we give
them credit for. What you and your wife are doing for him will
make him an appreciative adult who will also Love others and
think not only of himself.
Kudos Sir.

Watching the local News tonight mostly just to get the weather.
Our forecast is (for the next 7 days) low to mid 80's and EVERY
day scattered Thunderstorms.
I guess that's what they put on the big green screen when they
have no clue what it's going to do ??
Can anyone name another "job" that pays high 5 figure and even
6 figure salaries to a person making guesses with absolutely no
repercussions if they are wrong? haha

Hair, suit, and makeup must be immaculate to be considered.
